As a non-Blizz dev, stop asking for Beta

Hi there, adventurer. Let me 'splain.

They made the rounds with beta from 1-40 before 8.2. Folks in that beta submitted a boatload of bug reports and complaints.

8.2 is released and allows players check out whatever else Blizz screwed up with BFA while they fix as many bugs in classic as they could for the (possible) next wave and 40-59 testing.

You won’t see more invites, if at all, until a majority of the known issues are fixed and a new Classic build compiled. This will prevent the inevitable influx of bug reports from new players on already known bugs because you are all lazy level 1 boars and can’t be bothered to read the forums about bugs or updates, if this site and Reddit is anything to go by.

To save the sanity of Blizz devs, let them fix the bugs before expecting any other beta invites or the next batch of beta progression.

Now you know why devs stagger invites and often have huge gaps before getting new players in, if at all.

Sleep soundly. Everything will be OK.

yup, just ignore the dozens and dozens of posts right here on the classic forum from beta testers saying the beta server is super dead and needs more players so they can continue testing content. and fyi too have a meme compsci degree so my opinion is just as relevant as OP. :joy: also blizz plz invite me to beta k thx bye

Did you miss the part where I said more players mean more of the same bug reports on the same bugs everyone already knows about?

If so, how?

Never hurts to ask. I’d take a Beta spot if they need one filled. Not asking… Just a statement.

Did you miss the part where I said existing beta testers are asking for more players because they will need them to consistently do the lvl 60 5 mans?

As for your point, I ignored it, because Blizzard is obviously competent enough to develop rudimentary filters to weed out bug reports they are already aware of if thats a real problem. Where as not having enough players, as reported by actual current beta testers, will be a real problem.

How do you know this is what’s going on? Do you work at Blizzard?

Beta testers asking for more players will get the same explanation.

As for filters - I don’t see them on the beta forum where folks will obviously post, as well. More testers aren’t needed yet.

This is a thread we all needed, thanks I’ll sleep well tonight.

Read the thread title - that should answer you if I work at Blizz or not.

As for the beta - beta - I’ve handled several over the years. Once we get chunks of data, there’s a point at which opening up more testers becomes redundant.

We aren’t looking to make anyone happy with a beta - we are looking to fix things.

Hit me with that beta access, Blizzarino.

Again, do you work for Blizzard? Because you seem to have their exact schedule and options. Please share.

I didn’t even know there was going to be more beta invites, I figured whoever got in is who got in. Your post actually gave me hope that there will be a new beta wave in the upcoming time before launch. Haha
