I am incredibly disappointed that I resubbed to the game for the Night Elf Heritage Armor questline. I came back to try it out, and finally get our heritage armor, thinking that Blizzard would write a love letter to us, making up for some of the damage done to our race in recent years. Much like they did for the Human questline. I am sad to say that I was sorely mistaken.
The questline has nothing to do with anything, felt like a preachy side quest that was neither epic, nor relevant in any way. It honestly feels like we got shat on, and thatās only one half of the problem.
The heritage armor itself is terrible if you play a male night elf. As a warrior, what am I supposed to do with armor that has an exposed chest? It feels wrong, and most of it doesnāt even look good. What class was this made for? It doesnt look good on my druid, or my hunter either. It looks decent on a female character, but the males just look horrid. And to top it off, other races got multiple pieces to fit different styles, and multiple color variations. We got one set for everything, with one color scheme.
Blizzard, do you really hate Night Elf players or what? Because at this point, it feels like you do. This is honestly a slap in the face, and hurtful to someone that has given you so much damn money over the years. You couldnāt even do right by us for one quest?
I donāt see the issue with the quest, but I also dont care about the lore anymore since they killed Ysera in Legion. I just zoom through quests to get them done
I agree that the quest storyline seemed like an afterthought. I do like that they indicated that itās time for a change for the night elves to relax with their traditions a little.
From the heritage quests that Iāve done, the green orc one is by far the best written imo.
That being said, I personally like the armor. I wish there was more to link the kaldorei to the savage l, primal elves from the WC3 manual and story.
I just wish there were other color options for it.
Side note: my phone auto corrected kaldorei to ākale oreosā, so thatās how Iāll be referring to NEās from now on.
Night elves are like 9 feet tall absolutely jacked but nimble asf, they donāt need heavy armor when they can physically destroy most races and are too fast for other races to keep up with.
Iāve been wearing it on my female nelf warr. I fits well thematically. Of course you need the BfA warfront weapons from darkshore to complete it which thankfully I have. There is no other weapon mog in the game that goes with it so anyone who didnāt play BfA ja screwed.
Wanna complain about only having 1 set of heritage, welcome to the club, Undead just have the one as Warfront is not heritage so again welcome to that club. We also have zero color options.
Frankly they donāt care if you played 6 months or forever. Your pocket book does not make you entitled for anything I repeat anything.
And doing right by your chosen raceā¦Hmmnnn letās see Night Warrior, a new tree growing giving you a new home while others are left hanging in the windā¦ yeah this makes sense entirely, Blizzard has given you nothing, so if thatās your train of thought then it wonāt matter if your new tree burns like the last one,because itās nothing.
