I dont want to step on anyones mythic toes or all the sweaty die hard young bucks out there that love to stress in a game…
So as an older slower play whos end game is “delvs”, can you please allow “delv” gears to auto upgrade after you do 100 or 1,000 delvs automaticly? Im probably closing in my 398 delv and its frustrarting that i was capped at 2k valorstones with nothing to upgrade for 3 weeks now. I am sitting at 616/619 items in most of my main delv toons and cant get past the 619 hump.
These upgrade token/stones are great for all the young sweaty kiddos wanting to do the mythic+99s to see how big thier ego can get but I am just happy and content (getting very bored now) doing solo delvs or with a very small select few friends.
I suggest the following for delv main players:
as soon as you beat all the delvs at t8 and all your slots are 616s - after t9 - 100 delves auto upgrade all the gears to 619, after another t10 - 100 delvs upgrade to 623 (again auto magicly no weird token things needed)
reason behind this is t11 is really hard at my gear level (near impossible even on my blood dk) im assuming at 623 gear level i would be able to knock out the 100 t11s to possibly auto upgrade to 626 gears
that would give us old delvers some progress via playing the delvs and give us something to shoot for (as we knock out more delvs at the next higher teir we know someday we will be overall “better”) - as it stands now, you have nearly zero hope to see a 626 item (not that it matters as t8 is the cut off for max vault) but it would be nice to tackle the “mythic t11” level of a delv (solo or with friends).
The 20th anniversary has spawned a lot of bait threads.
Further gear progression through delves isn’t even an outlandish idea, but this is just nonsense.
Use valor stones and crests like everyone else. It’s not like it’s impossible to get them, I have gotten my self to Ilvl 609 barely trying (only 2-4 delves a week). That’s more than enough.
I think the gearing path for a delve player is solid.
its not… again i am capped at 616 items in most of my slots with a few 619s and no chance to get the next tokens to upgrade to 623 or even 626. I’m locked in for the rest of my wow life. I will not do mythics as I want to relax and have fun while playing a game.
I have zero things to upgrade my valorstones (you cant even buy a key with them) and all the gear that drops from the key chests cap out at 603…
Do you even need 626 gear to complete the t11 delve? I just did my first t10 last night at 614. I think you’d be fine with 619 but I don’t know for sure.
Even if they let you get a piece that high, they would be bitter about it and overlytune the content because they gave you that- which would totally defeat the purpose of the gear upgrade in the first place. High ilvl is just a psychological trick, don’t fall for it so much. They could give you ilvl1000 gear in the mail, yet still make the game insufferable to play.
I don’t really like your ideas, they probably already were so reluctant to even add delves in the first place for casual players and they probably didn’t want to at all but were forced to as the game wouldn’t have enough players without them - and it allowed them to make all the other areas in the game “sweaty” like they always wanted to in the first place- so really, knowing what the dev team is like and how Ion is still at the helm, please just be thankful for what you have and don’t let them ruin things. I think the 9, 10, and 11 delves should maybe drop a few more crests or something but having gear just be auto-upgraded is lazy.
good question, i beat at t10 at 603 item level (it was rough) im at 613 now and it takes way to long on trash (im a blood dk). I would guess the boss would be a 2 to 3 hour fight and since im old, id have to use the bathroom in that time - no way to pause the solo delv lol
do you mean they are selling upgraded tokens on the bliz cash store? cuz theres no way to get 45 glided crests except for a rare map drop that migth contain 3 (i did close to 400 delvs now total) and i have 6 glided crests
Working as intended. Delves cap at hero track gear and we don’t need access to 623+ Ilvl. Just doing weeklies, especially these anniversary ones, will get you crests to upgrade your hero track gear. Sure we could use a little bit more out of it, but I’m not concerned.
We don’t need mythic gear from delves. Heroic is more than enough.
im not french, so wee wee yourself. I didnt ask for mythic gear… i asked for the delv gear we get to be auto upgraded to cap at 626 with ALOT of time invested. Even if you were a delv god and could do a t8 delv in 10 minutes (maybe 2 are under 10 minutes) but many are in the 15 to 20 minute range x 100 times for the upgrade from 616 to 619 and do another 100 more t9s again if its 15 minutes to do 1 = you are looking at 1,500 minutes of playing delvs which is roughly 25 hours…
Im not looking for a handout just something to shoot for as my end game (delv t11s) - That to me is my mythic raiding end game
You get gilded crests if you get a map I think. I’m not sure the proc rate for the maps. I only got one of them last week and have yet to get one this week, but only have done about 3 delves so far this week.
You also can save them to get a whopping 636 ilvl via crafting (It might be a little less than this I’m not 100% sure), but the amount of time it would take you to get enough crests for that seems like… a lot.
So what you want is already there, just would take A LOT of play time. And I don’t know realistically if you would ever be able to get more than ONE super high ilvl item- but uh the possibility is there? I think???
They need to delete valorstones or give us something else to do with them (maybe change them in for celebration tokens why not) since crests will always be your limiting reagent. I don’t want to sit on capped valorstones either.
so i went to the exchange vendor and i dont see that as an option so when i clicked on buy/transmute whatever it took my 15 runed crests and gave me a bag of useless weathered crests which i dont need at all… thats why i started this post. I have zero way to basically get any better - im as good as ill get until next expansion and its only 2 months into me playing solo delv action.
Unless of course they are releasing a new upgraded delv 2.0 soon
This is roughly the toxic narrative I expected from someone who can’t even spell ‘delves’ correctly while claiming it’s their primary content (allegedly).
I feel you OP. I’m at the point where all my gear needs Runed Crests to upgrade to upgrade 1 level and I get enough of those by doing 2 weeks of the 4 Bountifuls, or if I can upgrade Carved.
It’s painfully slow and I haven’t yet tried T9 or above but ya…
You get an achievement each time you outgear the use for weathered/carved/runed crests. Getting the achievement unlocks the exchange. If you’re not seeing them, you don’t have the achievement, which means you haven’t maxed out every slot.
I don’t raid either, but I have to say, I’m tickled pink with how far I can upgrade my gear this xpac. DF you could only go 4/8 on Champion gear doing open world and solo stuff. Now you can go to 3/6 on hero gear, with the occasional RNG lucky drop for higher. That’s pretty great for solo players
