Can’t wait for them to bring back Blizzcon and being asked by the crowd, which will CHEER UP, asking to add the damn feature back to the game.
I’ve posted the patch notes so many times. I don’t even think Blizzard goes back and checks their own patch notes.
i would love to have the RDF, it will be cool to enjoy playing dungeons! (yes it’s nearly impossible to play a dungeon during leveling and it’s so pain to find randoms for max level dungeon)
So the random dungeon finder are supposed to help randoms get into dungeons!
I think it will be a long long time before Blizzcon comes back, at least in the way we speak about it today.
Blizzcon enables people to give feedback, and Blizzard only handles feedback in very very controlled doses. Would be a shame if someone told them that Diablo Immortal is in fact P2W no matter how much the devs deny it. It only takes one off-script question or remark and Blizzard will be the laughing stock all over youtube again for years.
It’s sad but true. For the last several years it was around, it was just a very expensive way to spread bad publicity and give nay-sayers ammo. Blizzcon used to be a very exciting time
You’re wrong. I want RDF.
It’s my RDF and I want it now!!!
Call J.G. Wentworth. 877-RDF-MEOW
I remember buying the PPV, clearing ALL plans for the long weekend, and just nerding out for the weekend. My ex wife thought it was lame, but it was honestly larger than life. I watched some panels more than once just to really take in what they were saying. Every game announcement would feel equivalent to a new console being announced. Starcraft 2 WoL finals were downright popcorn worthy.
Sure these days we are treated with State of Plays, Nintendo Direct, Microsoft Presents, Game of the Year, etc etc. But none of those COME CLOSE to capturing how good of a time it was to be a gamer watching Blizzcon.
We lost something big when Blizzard forgot why players loved them.
We’ve seen gatekeeping all throughout TBC. Rets got denied into heroics, ferals, hunters (simply because they were too many of them). Even being guildless could be the sole reason you were denied.
Its toxic and needs to end, RDF solves this issue and at least lets entry level content be accessible to everyone.
Many other things from wrath address this. Almost every class/specs are viable now.
It really doesn’t though. Why take a feral/rogue/warrior etc when you could take a warlock or a mage? As the anti-RDF have made it more than clear, people will take the easiest route. That would imply that people will also take full spellcleave groups to clear heroics faster, thus gatekeeping most melee, would it not?
They are but, I pull up the LFG Tool as a tank, who do I invite? The first 3 dps on the list or maybe I pick the dps who won’t compete with me for loot.
Youre saying I’m leveling this rogue for nothing???
*shoots computer with glock
Nah you’ll still pump single target in raids. Just don’t expect many invites for heroics with the current Dungeon Finder tool.
I know this sucks, but this is also Classic. Its a very hard topic to pick a side on IMO. On one hand, you have classes that are and feel completely different, which also sort of lead to them hving different value to the group. I played a shadow priest for most of TBC, and could never aoe ANYTHING. On the other hand, you have class homogenization, which brings all class and specs to be as good, but they also all fell the same. They can all CC, they can all AOE, they can all stun, they can all interrupt. Don’t bring the class, bring the numbers.
I personally prefer the first option, class identify, at the risk of not being optimal for every group. I always enjoyed playing support classes that were not as good in terms of DPS, but that brought something unique to the group.
Lucky me a 5th of the horde on my server is my guild which currently has no leadership, direction, or the endgame plans. Time to start playing the politics game.
Yes please!
If you’re adamant on playing warrior, then you’ll soon know what the rest of us are talking about. You’ll experience it first hand. Warriors are already thought of as trash til ToC or so, and with the amount of Dk’s and rets currently in game…wouldn’t be hard to pass on a warrior DPS for something else.
Some idiots like me don’t even know what a spellcleave group is (and yes, i’ve been playing since day 1 of Classic WoW). Not everyone is a 99% parser pro meta slave in this game. Lots of people dont care, they just want to get stuff done, and they know they don’t need a 100% optimized group for that.
Not everyone is a speedrunner
I don’t even know what is / will be considered meta in WOTLK, and don’t intend on learning it xD
Would be wildly shocked if we ever got that ever again.
Between the last time it blew up in their face, and I’m sure most Blizzard higher ups can’t trust their communities to not bring up anything relating to the whole SA issue … doubt we ever get a real Q&A from this company
Except there is no such thing as a support class in WoW ever. You come as a tank or a healer or a dps. If something like CC is needed you just pick the DPS with CC, which leaves all the DPS without CC out of luck.
