As a Community, we do not want RDF

Except it’ll also come with Cross Realm where people will ninja, queue up with a language barrier, not even play their class right and you’re essentially expecting this to happen with zero consequences at all which is NOT Realistic.

RDF will create MORE problems, this is what you are not understanding.

What is wrong with LFG?? We’ve used it for YEARS, I didn’t see any complaints until now.

I guarantee you, if RDF happens I am:

  1. charging dps to take advantage of my tank queues
  2. if I don’t have a full group of paying customers, using the ones that are paying to initiate vote kick to remove any dead weight
  3. doing exactly what you described if I am solo and a bad dps isn’t kicked
  4. making every effort to remove anyone that will compete for loot, because I am the tank and if you don’t like it enjoy waiting in queue again for a new one
  5. rolling need on all the “offspec” pieces because I am the tank and I want to vendor them

So you’re going to turn into a raging elitist, got it :+1:

Yes, which is different than gatekeeping.

If you’re worried about people Ninjaing in RDF then don’t use it. LFG is a success for you. I honestly don’t know how RDF will affect you if you don’t opt in to use it. The only thing I can foresee is that there will be less people to choose from in LFG. So blizzard would have to make a transparent queue system, or allow people to queue for RDF and list themselves in LFG simultaneously.

It will kill LFG chat, look at Retail how devoid the Community has become.

people in retail are FORCED to use LFG for any end game content. Raid finder has useless gear and is only good for boss kill count now.

I am a druid, I am needing literally everything.

Yeah if you wanna exploit RDF like that go ahead there’s nothing stopping you. It will still give some a slight chance at actually doing the dungeons instead of nothing at all. Those that make it through your trials will get their dungeon completion.

Exactly like currently in LFG, so no functional difference.

THAT is what separates us from Retail, LFG chat is what makes us UNIQUE.

What kind of social interactions are you referring to, that RDF ruined?

I’m not saying that Classic and TBC Classic haven’t been fun games, and that we didn’t get the social interactions we wanted. But that didn’t really come from dungeons, and I don’t know why people keep claiming they did. Guilds, sure. Raids, sure. But dungeons? In TBC Classic and Wrath Classic, people don’t talk in dungeons, unless they’re doing a guild run. People just play their characters and kill the mobs and get to the end and give a cursory “ty for run”.

It’s not that it takes away from social interaction, it’s that it makes it more toxic. I know myself well enough to know I will be one of the toxic people in it. With that said, I actually want RDF so I can charge people money to spam it with my instant tank queue.

One can only hope. But seriously, the LFG channel is a negative social experience. I actively hated having to deal with all the trolling and politics in it.

Tank queue won’t be as short as healer queue with all the DKs that everyone has.

Why would anyone do that, when they can just play the game and grab a group when it eventually pops?

Yea, but I know plenty of healers. Ideally I would do this with a healer anyway.

Why do people currently pay for tanks, or do gdkp, etc.

Because it wouldn’t be prohibitively expensive for obvious reasons, and you are getting a tank/healer who are in voice chat that will instantly queue you up for all of the RDF you can do. It’s easier, faster, and people have plenty of gold.

The process of building a group and beating a Dungeon.

How do you figure RDF is going to ruin that?
