And yet you’re incorrect. If this were in fact the case, the subscription would have increased as a result of the game (classic) being made as an excuse for the subscription increase. Why do I say this? Because retail and all of the expansions have thus far come at a direct price in order to obtain the content.
Did you pay any price, outside of the normal $15 subscription which has never increased, to obtained wow classic? No. So, if you want to get technical, this product was in fact made for free.
No. I didnt. You went down some other rabbit hole that my words didnt lead you dont.
No, we do not pay them to make the product. We arent going to blizzard and saying hey here is money make this. They make a product… right. Usually the initial brunt is funded by who? Investors. They invest in an idea if they think its good in hopes of a profit. So product gets made, we then decide if we want to buy that product. Box price. It happened with Vanilla, TBC, Wrath, Cata, MoP, WoD, Legion, BFA and SL, even going into DF there is a box price. The reason why they continue to make stuff is because there is interest and a means to gain a profit.
No, we are not paying them to make a product. They see interest so they are making a product in hopes we will buy the next one. We pay to play. GW2 isnt pay to play like WoW is, GW2 you guy the box game. The patches are free, living world stories are free, you can even get cash shop items for free if you are good at making gold.
I dont need to revise my logic, you need to stop making an argument for others.
Not only did the sub not increase, what did Blizzard say? If you pay a subscription for retail you get access to classic servers? So in fact you are paying for retail game time and get access to classic servers for no extra charge. Sounds like classic is in fact free to me.
If that’s the case, then you, just like Kell, are making the argument they make the game for free.
Yes, you did. Your words are a railroad directly to the conclusion I’ve drawn.
Again, no one is saying this, What I’m saying is that without YOUR money, Classic is NOT going to continue to be produced. In order for the game to be made, it needs to make money. If it doesn’t, Blizzard will simply stop developing and maintaining it. Without your money, the game doesn’t get made.
So therefore, you DO pay for the game to be made.
You certainly should, but if you’re fine with having faulty logic and being incorrect, be my guest.
I rode around on my ground mount in Hellfire for about 3 levels till my Sugar Momma got on and asked me “hey you got your flying yet?” I laughed nope! I’m not 70 on this toon duh! She said you can get it at 60 now. I was like oh so much for no changes. Sugar bought me flight and a mount!
Nothing is free. Funny thing is, you brought up the word free. I never brought that up. You were trying to craft an argument for me from your broken logic from the very beginning.
No its not because you are the ones that crafted the argument. Not me. I didnt bring up free. You put that on me without any reason to. Again, nothing is free, but it doesnt mean that we paid them to make something. If something is dont prior to you paying for it, you didnt pay for it.
In many cases you can’t. Back when I used to sit on my mount in Ironforge and people would ask me about my mounts, or all of my purple gear, most of the time I wouldn’t reply or answer questions because I could tell from their talent choices or spec I was probably wasting my time.
But some of those players actually would look at the really geared players and say, maybe if I tried, I could be more like them. So they would start to make efforts to do well in dungeon groups, and ask intelligent questions, and study up on optimal builds and setups. Some might even be allowed to wait on standby if one of our raiders had connection problems, kind of like an apprenticeship.
You could say they were FORCED to do these things, because RFD and LFR wasn’t there to bail them out and allow them to fail into epics and there was no cash shop to allow them to ride cool mounts.
You can literally google it in 2 seconds. He said this. I did it. You can find it and do it, but you refuse to, which only proves YOU are the troll and bad faith argumenter. If you don’t understand that, that’s not my problem.
If nothing is for free, and you’re not paying them to make game, then how does the game get made? Who pays them?
No, your logic from the beginning is broken, which is why this has become a thing in the first place.
It’s your argument extrapolated to a logical conclusion. I’m using your logic and following it. It’s your argument. You’re the one that said you, the player, does not pay for Classic. If you’re not paying and no on else is, then it’s free. When something doesn’t cost anyone anything, it becomes free, that’s what free means, and that’s where the word is coming from.
Yes it does. You paid them to make it because if you didn’t pay them, it wouldn’t have gotten made and continue to be made. That means you pay for it to be made.
Right, that’s because you pay for the game to be made. That you for conceding the point finally.
