RDF did not create LFR and WoW Tokens. You’re comparing apples and oranges with also adding a banana in there. Like, seriously, all the excuses you have made, such as Dungeon Finder made people AFK in dungeons… Please, all you’re doing is trolling to gatekeeping. All these things you have came up with, you have no sources to back up your claims.
You mean yourself and a small minority with so many alts? That is not “so many players.” Think about this for a minute, how does Dungeon Finder actually effect you, and your gameplay? I agree that LFR is bad and unhealthy for the game, but you know what? It doesn’t effect me or my gameplay, simple thing is, I just don’t touch LFR. And only thing I purchase from the store is gametime. I don’t like the hidden Pay2Win aspects.
What social interactions have Dungeon Finder taken away? The fact that you think you’re silenced the moment you use it? A couple of devs think that nobody talks in Dungeons in Dungeon Finder, but the fact is, this is entirely false. I have chat with people in dungeons while queuing in Dungeon Finder. This “Dungeon Finder removes the Social Aspect” is a complete load of garbage.
As long as there is an API that allows us to create addons that use the LFG tool blizzard added, there will be addons that attempt to emulate the RDF tool. The only difference is that addon devs will add features that hurt the community and will have even worse user experience.
E.g. a tool that completely removes the thought process and builds your group based on your parameters and notifies you when it is ready.
The new GearScore addon that will be released on September 26th is similar, but it allows you to filter off some classes and specs (e.g. warrior DPS), and it also requires their gear score. If their GS is lower than the minimum required, they’re not allowed to even apply.
That type of addon sounds like its bypassing the internal LFG and utilizing some external queue system which blizzard has already taken a stance against in classic. The above is called DungeonGrindr and functions exclusively on the provided LFG listing functionality that blizzard has created. I’m still on the fence about releasing it beyond my guild as I’m still unsure that I want to be stuck maintaining something that doesn’t generate irl money while simultaneously providing the community with tools to be toxic.
Anything that wasn’t in the original wotlk RDF. No shaman/lock tanks, no DK healers etc. The inclusion of warrior dps as a meme spec is just to show how bad it CAN be when people are hand picking group comps out of the tool. Optionally I’ll just add a class/role matrix that will allow users to select what they don’t want to see.
FF14 current MAU is 2.2million. They have a rather inflated amount of subscriptions but their static number of log-ins remains underwhelming.
New World MAU has dropped significantly due to the game being extremely mismanaged. Just because launch numbers of a game look nice due to hype doesn’t mean it won’t die.
We may see a few million player increase but this is Blizzard we’re talking about. Servers will die just like Classic Vanilla and Classic TBC. The issue isn’t the game so much as it is Blizzard. Perhaps they’re too busy drinking on the job, harassing their coworkers, indulging in degenerate behavior and not listening to the community.
MAU for an MMO, especially with known content, is likely to be extremely volatile anyways. Sure wotlk-c will have an extremely high MAU for like 2 months, but it will almost inevitably crater right back to where it is now, probably more but potentially less.
Many of the pserver players are just here for fresh and will dip out after a couple weeks in naxx. They will then return on ulduar launch and repeat the cycle.
Don’t encourage OP. It really doesn’t matter when the people whom do want it will just utilize addons that emulate RDF anyway.
Best to leave people in the illusion that having or not having RDF will make a difference. People constantly find shortcuts to get what they want and that has always been the case. If blizzard won’t give it to people, people will utilize a third party.
When a service has a demand, the market will respond according.
OP will just throw a tantrum and call you a “Retailer who is just a classic tourist” or some nonsensical statement relative to that.
Because it’s clearly better to let people list themselves in lfg, and then use it as a global chat channel, which prevents people who are actually trying to use it to find groups. At least dungeon finder let people list themselves for things like Direbrew and actually get groups.
“No changes” means classic Wrath should have everything that Wrath had.
But hey, no one is asking about the dance studio, so that’s a change we shouldn’t expect.
Enough literally means MAJORITY, if I say I had enough to eat that means I’m full and I can’t have anymore. You’re just twisting his words to mean something it’s not because you will never admit your side lost when it did.
They do NOT make decisions based on the minority, they never have and they never will. They clearly made that call because a MAJORITY of players wanted it gone, hence why he did enough.
Again you can keep living in your fantasy world but it’s over, all your fake polls and whine threads did nothing to help.
