A casual mom with 5 raid-ready 80s in the 580+ range?

Doesn’t seem like casual to me. Just saying. I have 2 80’s since release with second being this morning.

1st - I boosted a Dracthyr from creation to 70 then leveled to 80 - quickly due to early access and included boost amongst other things

2nd - I leveled by DK from 60 to 80. I watched EVERY cut-scene (never done that) to understand the lore of the current release

I am a casual player coming back after IDK 5 years to retail? I have found this release to be the most playable as a casual. I don’t raid or do mythics but just hang out, do some profs.

The game in general is very large and has a LOT of options on leveling and QoL features.

In closing, a casual is someone who plays when they can and does what they can when they play. I know casuals who raid and do the M+'s but are way behind because again, they are casual. There is nothing in your post that makes me believe you are a “casual”

Just because I am VERY efficient doesn’t make me not casual. I also watched the cutscenes when I leveled. My first toon definitely took all night. I just spammed dungeons with friends on the other toons. I guarantee you I have played less time than you have since Aug 22nd.

I’m also a grown adult with seemingly far more responsibilities than you (also have kids/dogs/family, I own and operate my own full time business, I tend to a small farm, I have several active bands, and I’m the sole person responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the house/property, vehicles, bills, chores, errands, etc. due to the limitations of a wife with a ton of medical issues.

I also focus on M+; it’s pretty much the only game mode I play.

My time management, however, allows me an extraordinary amount of time to grind this game when I want to.

Therefore, I’ve finished the campaign, I have three level 80s, and I’m working on leveling 3-4 more (out of 20 total toons) so that I have a variety of specs to support my M+ team when that opens up. I’m also doing gathering and such to make gold while it’s still profitable because grinding to KSM/KSH on multiple toons is expensive AF.

Never have I once thought there wasn’t enough to do.

And that’s besides the blatant fact that it’s not Blizzard’s fault that you and I literally only play 1/3 of the game. There’s an insane amount of side quests, lore, professions, etc. that people can spend their time doing.

I guess I just don’t understand what the complaint is. Sure, I’m a little irked M+ was delayed so long, but it’s really not that big of a deal and I don’t expect the game to cater to a niche player like myself.

While I applaud you in also having extremely efficient time management, don’t assume that I am not busy. I run an entire household, homecook 2 meals a day (one for kid and one for my wife and I). I sit on the board of 5 nonprofits, and of course I have my career and social life. Sure, You’re probably a little busier than I am, but managing 5 nonprofits takes quite a bit of evenings each month from me. And yes it is Blizz’s fault for delaying M+ and heroic week longer than necessary. I’ve played about 25-28 hours in 2 weeks and I have nothing to do…

How many hours do you play a night/week on average?

3 - 5 per week. I may get a couple extra hours in Saturday night if my SO falls asleep early…

Since Sunday I have logged 2.3 hours in the game, so we play about the same.

if all you are doing if M+ then yes, there is nothing to do. Sorry that is your experience. I am plenty busy doing things in the game.

Sorry, but there is no way that you have 3 level 80s at 582/5 with what, 6 hours of play? Maybe if you bought wow token and crafted 590s, but still have to have 90 weathered things…

but either way, having to wait is healthy. The people around me are now just hitting the 580 because they are newer to game, and don’t understand all the systems and so they are exploring as the game was intended.

My only poke is delves - wish they would have opened them to 6 or something.

I don’t honestly believe the average player mainlines Mythic, though. If you’re spending $90 for early access and zipping through 5+ alts already, I don’t really consider you to be a casual player. And even if you were casual, this is the content cadence for you because you maintain you did barely anything to cap characters and gear. If they released the content you desire on the 3rd instead of the 10th, you’d just postpone writing this post.

If you have 5 level 80s with 582-585 ilvl, and you did this “BARELY” playing, i’m pretty sure you’re lying about being “casual”. I have 1 character at just under 580, and a few more with random 550 gear, and I got early access, and I have played quite a bit around my full time work schedule.
