I got Early Access and was very excited. I detest leveling and my main focus is M+. I am quite busy, have a kid to take care of, a wife to take care of, and a household to run. So I spent most of Saturday after release hitting 80 and leveled 2 more alts in dungeons. Since then I’ve played here and there, a few hours once or twice a week. I now have 5 80s, 3 of them raid-ready between 582-585 level. I did this BARELY playing. I’ve been ready for M+ since Tuesday. There is absolutely nothing to do to further my power except for replaceable gear week 1. They should have released the content on the 3rd not the 10th. Early access allowed us to I’ve been bored out of my mind playing super casually, what are the sweaty people doing? I’ve been mostly playing other games during my limited free time.

I’ve tried playing other games, but I got that sunk cost fallacy feeling due to having a sub running and can’t bring myself to play anything else, so I’ve been just running in circles in Dornogal to pass the time. =/

It does seem a bit silly, you’re right.
I got D4 but ehhh, I don’t know, ARPGs don’t hold me for too long, my problem is more specifically about prefering story driven games, particularly CRPGs, but not being able to start one while I got the “WoW brain” if you catch my meaning.

People seem surprised when people that are barely playing are able to get things done, but really it’s not that complicated the issue is more likely not that people are no lifing the game that are actually accomplishing things but rather people are casualling or no-lifing the game with 20 alts half of which are the same class instead of focusing on one and then they get all weird when people that actually enjoy playing the game with a single character in focus with only one or two side character AFTER the focus is completed are saying that there is little content. It’s like yea of course things gonna go at a snail pace if your playing 20 characters. It don’t mean the game should sit around and wait for you.
So … nerf dungeon exp? That’s what I read in the OP 
main issue at play is the launch content is only about 25-40 hours worth of stuff todo & we have nearly 3 weeks to get it done. No-life one weekend, or two days, and its almost gone.
582-585 on three characters and barely playing? Right.
keep in mind renown is saved and a fair portion of that gear can come right from the renown vendor.
