Arugal Alliance side is unplayable, Any plans for Paid Transfers?

this is a bandaid for an issue that would be much better suited for the next opened server to have specific faction caps

Felstriker isn’t dead. You can roll a level 1 to check out server activity first if you’re leery of making the jump.

I recently transferred from Arugal because of the exact reason OP had pointed out. I can’t even find group to do elite quests nor Ulda.

Its Blackrock all over again.

Go to smolderweb. I get ganked by allys regularly and pop data looks pretty even… slightly skewed horde

Smolderweb horde ignore you if they are alone, the second they see a few other horde jump on someone they will jump into the fight. Have yet to be attacked by a solo horde, at the same time I have yet to have a solo horde who passed by me not turn around and jump in when 2+ others get on me.

Pretty much seems to be a common trend with horde PvP servers, Picking horde was just a way of picking a pve server without having to actually play on a pve server.

If someone truly enjoyed world pvp they would be playing alliance.

With that said while horde do clearly have the numbers on smolderweb, it’s not unplayable, pretty good server with not many tryhards.

I think adding to the problem is that Horde love heading the call for pvp.
I have never seen someone ask for assistance with alliance and not answered the call along with most other players in the zone. Hell we even took down a lvl60 the other day on shimmering flats with 45 war, 42 warlock (me), 31 rogue, 30 mage, 29 mage.
If there is ever a group of alliance and someone says in general, starting group to get rid of this alliance group, by the time i join its always a 2-3 party raid lol

Yojamba is the same unfortunately, I gave up questing yesterday, all quest hubs are perma camped and if you create a fight back group you are outnumbered 10-1. I enjoy world PVP but every time you get in a scrap 20 horde flock in and camp you. Its unfortunate, funnily enough I’m horde on retail and we have the same issue there but you can just turn WM off haha

Guess I shoulda gone with a shammy instead of pally. I get its a PVP server but sooner or later most ally are gonna give up and good luck getting any HK’s then.

If they open transfers then all Alliance should move to one or the other and dominate

Horde seem to be afraid of a fair fight…
Was questing in Arathi and went past some single players who ignored me. As soon as there was two of them I start getting chased of course…

Managed to kill them both because they got distracted for a moment going for an easier target.

So decided to group up with two other players. Everything was fine then all of a sudden getting attacked by a group of 5.

Killed them all, 4-5 times.

Couldn’t accept defeat though, they had to call a level 40 and level 60 to come camp us.
Frustrating yes, but I’m up for a challenge. Always have been. Little bit pathetic that they need to call higher levels to finish their dirty work that they started though.

From the MMO Champion cliffnotes of a Forbes interview with the devs:

https://www.mmo-champion.com/content/8704-Dev-Interview-Launch-Day-Login-Experience-New-Classic-Realms

The team really really wants to avoid having to offer transfers or merging Classic realms later.

10v1 lemming zergs aren’t really pvp though.

For everyone here who keep saying this isn’t issue please go to Arugal, play as Alliance, and go to past level 20. You will understand everything.

I’m not making things up

You chose to roll on a pvp server, that’s what you get. It’s the exact reason I always go with pve servers, removes the massive annoyance that getting ganked is while I’m questing or minding my own business. I get to control when I want to pvp & how much.

Well if it makes you feel any better I will be going back to my alliance char on Arugal. I only rolled horde yojamba because my friend insisted and he never plays anyway. Sadfase, I know.

I am constantly sickened with the ganking behaviour of the Horde and their attitude that gankbanging somehow equates to superiority. I have found myself unable to enjoy PvP (unless someone tries to gank me) because I just feel bad for the ally who are always at a numerical disadvantage. PvP Alliance on a server with a poor ratio is definitely hardmode versus Horde, but it is rewarding at least. I levelled this toon to 50 so easily, I can count the number of times I’ve been ganked on one hand.

There is something to be said about the sense of community that is fostered among underdogs. I have seen it before on Horde dominated servers in vanilla. Don’t give up and just enjoy the fight, it’s all about the journey and I hope we’ll be rewarded

Picking the factiom with a higher population and objectively better pvp racials is so courageous.

Hate to be this guy… but it’s not like you’re level 40… just make another toon… into your 20s is not a lot of time invested.

I’m fairly certain the alliance numbers are so poor on PvP realms because they are generally considered so bad at PvP no one wants to roll the faction.

Maybe, but the mountain of dead alliance players that have tried to get in my way speaks for itself, I’m god awful at pvp. So how bad do you have to be to fail a gank against me?

Stop pretending you’re bad when you had enough brains to pick troll.

My ruse, discovered!
