Artisan's mettle

It seems I have nothing to do with this for Herbalism / Mining, but I can’t have enough for Alchemy.

This is counter design to the long history of gathering in the game. It has ALWAYS been more efficient to have Herb / Mining druid to farm, and then use the materials on a crafter… but now that Herb / Mining druid can’t trade key materials. Why?

If the intention was to encourage us to have gathering + crafting on the same character, I think we should finally do away with the profession limit for gathering.

IMO, anyone should be able to become a gatherer. Herbalism, mining, and skinning, should be accessible to all characters the same way cooking and fishing are. Then… we can chose 2 crafting professions.

Or… at the very least, make Artisan’s Mettle an account bound currency.

They did the same thing with Expulsom in BfA.

Fundamentally, we (my main is dual gather) are simply getting something unnecessary for free. You can just throw it away. It isn’t hurting anyone. And characters who do the “normal” gather + craft obviously appreciate the extra Mettle that comes from their gathering.

it’s taking up bag space and breaking my psyche out of annoyance…

/smh

I wish they’d change gathering professions or at least make this type of material account bound.

keep the mettle on your gatherer’s. You can use it to help pay for crafting orders by providing it in the ingredients.
