Artisan's acuity system and professions

Why is this system such trash? When you are farming ore or herbs you can nonstop getting acuity by earning random knowledge, but when you do a profession, you can’t get anything if your patron orders already completed. I’m stuck with three items that give me +skill and I cannot do them, since they require sparks and many farming of humanoids (Tailoring) which I can’t do on my alt, my Main isn’t tailor so I cannot hand dusk and dawn clothes to him as I can to my alt Enchanter. And I cannot give him sparks since they are soulbound.

Why this system is so random?

Engineering is useless but at the same time it’s most forgiving in terms of skilling up your profession, all other profs that are “creation types” I assume the same as Tailoring — you need to know EXACTLY what you will do, or you get stuck like me.

This “star” quality ingredients also stupid, I understand the system, but I don’t dig it. You gave us so much bag slots, warbank and then completely fumbled it with three levels of quality of every ingredient, ore, herb or enchanting dust. Who wanted this? Who thought this was a good idea? Why professions so unappealing and repulsive in this expansion?

Which profession is in question? You can level LW to 100 by crafting leg armors, Blacksmithing by crafting Everburning Ignition and tailoring by crafting Spellthreads or Embelishments, so you are not stuck.
If you just started profession, you will get few new patron orders every day and many of them every 4 days, you will get ones you can do.

Yse, you cant give spark, but you can send an order from alt who has spark to your crafter who needs points to level skill up.

Star quality of ingredients is essence of this crafting system, else it would be same as old system.
Just sell all qualities you dont need, no point hoarding them in your bags, just buy off AH when you need.

It is impossible to get “stuck”, friend. But not to worry you are in the right place to get you “unstuck”.

What you are looking for is the pattern “dawnthread lining”. It is cheap on the AH, but this is a server based item so ymmv. It typically sells for less than 50 g.

It requires 6 spools of dawnthread and 2 dawnweave bolts. Both of these items are very cheap on the AH. Make sure you buy the cheapest rank since you’re just leveling (isn’t that nice, there’s a cheap version for things like leveling, guess the star system works in your favor huh).

It goes green at 90 but it’s so cheap you can ride it all the way from 1 to max. Because that’s how leveling professions works in TWW. There’s multiple ways to level. You don’t need sparks. You don’t even need acuity. The skill finishing reagents (such as “stack of pentagold reviews”) will substitute for having green rather than blue tools for the most part.

On my server all low level star ingredient are twice as expensive for some reason.
But thanks. Will try this receipt.

It is not only your server, all ingredients have the same price on all servers.
