Is it possible to afford these on an alt without using any gold from your main (or any other character)? I level all my characters strictly through dungeons only and normally when I’m level 80 I have an average of 1.5k gold only, while Artisan Riding and Master Riding costs 4.5k each. So I’m wondering, am I doing it wrong? Does people usually make more than 9450g before they hit level 80?
Think I’m at 350g on my opposite faction toon with no support from my mains.
Level 76, about to have 9k worth of raiding skill to buy.
A lot of the issue is probably how insanely quick we level with heirlooms, rested, and bonus XP. more than 10 levels per zone.
First, pro tip. If you wanna save some gold, wait for Shadowlands. They’re taking away artisan riding and dropping it down to just 150% flying speed and 310% flying speed. Anyone with artisan that doesn’t have master will be dropped back down to 150%.
Second, I usually find I have enough gold right around lvl 100 or so to buy at least artisan riding, but that could also change as we move into Shadowlands with the level squish.
All of my alts leech off of my main. Such is the way of things since time immemorial. I try to keep 10k on gold each of my alts so they can afford transmog and repairs.
I have been wondering how this is going to work. Has what you’re saying is going to happen been confirmed? I’ve been reading mixed things, but most of what I see says anyone with artisan riding will be bumped up to 310% and not down to 150%.
no worry , it just not learnable any more , u dont get bump up or down , just new player no longer have akses the skill , so only one who play before sl ever get 280 per cent fly
So it’s best not to buy artisan riding on alts and just wait until prepatch and buy master to save yourself 4K (with max discount).
Yep.
You keep your 280% on beta atm, not bumped up or down. Still have to buy the 310%.
Yes, although it will take time to save up the amount required.
