So it turns out if you use wrapping paper on a BOE artifact relic and unwrap it, after putting it into your artifact it shoots up in levels. This is a gamebreaking bug and exploit the twinking community is taking full advantage of right now, lmao. Yes, that is a level 20 with a 54 weapon. Blizzard, please fix your broken game.

Have you been able to recreate it? I’ve tried several times and the item level stays the same on the relic.
Does level requirement play into it?
Do I need to gift wrap it on a max level character or on the low level one?
Remove how to do it, and submit a ticket. Openly discussing it on the forums is a great way to earn a vacation.

There are boe artifact relics? Like the engineering ones?
Also thats kinda an hilarious bug ngl, i’m just imagining who sat there gift wrapping every item until they found one that bugged

How is this game breaking? It only affects those who choose to level in Legion questing content…and well that really is a limited time thing anyways.
The relic won’t look any different in your inventory but will bug out when placed in your weapon.
Lower level bgs? I mean, yeah they don’t really matter but still.
It affects PVP? Then blizz definitely won’t fix it.

About 2 Players in every dungeon I run is between level 10-20 with a lvl 54 artifact weapon. Guessing these are all f2p vet accounts, that means they have to resub to use mail and exploit this bug. Knowing Blizzard greed, this will never get fixed.
