(Balance druid questions) Ive just gotten back into wow after some years and i played from 1 to 110 now but im so confused on articats. Basically i dont have an arcane relic and i see these videos about artifact power but there is nothing in the section where that usually is meant to be where i upgrade my weapon. To add im also unsure how to get the ablities. I cant even complete dungeons for main quests because it says my item level i beleive isnt 160. I probably sound like such a noob but i havent played in years and im just wondering if anyone could help me with these issues. Also im confused with the tears of Elune quest and how to get to it as the whole questing is very confusing. Im so sorry lol im just so confused right now. But antway thanks!
At 110, so Legion content?
You get relics from certain quests that increase your weapons item level. It’ll say something like “Arcane Relic +x item level” or something like that when you hover over it.
As for the Artifact Power and Abilities, those no longer exist, as of the conclusion of Legion. The items that give Artifact Power or just vendor trash now, good for about 25g.
If you could go into more detail about the Tears of Elune quest, I could try and help you there, but I personally haven’t done many Legion quests since my first toon.
Artifact Weapons no longer have these functions since Battle for Azeroth launched. You’ll have to get new weapons from 110-120.
As Nohrunn said, artifacts have been depowered, so most of the old guides you’ll find on them won’t be relevant. Relics will still bump up it’s ilvl, so they’ll improve your weapon a bit, but an empty slot while leveling through the content is pretty normal. (They were really more of an end-game thing.)
The Tears of Elune are one of the 5 pillars of creation that the main initial story of Legion revolves around. Each of the zone’s storylines revolve around retrieving one of these. The Tear of Elune comes from the Val’sharah zone. There are some quests that require you to retrieved the Tears of Elune, and I’m assuming that’s what you’re seeing now? If that’s the case, then just do the Val’sharah zone. (While the other artifacts in the leveling zones require a dungeon to get, the Tears do not.)
Edit: Once you get to Legion and BfA, you’re expected to quest to level, not dungeon grind. The XP for dungeons is pretty low to encourage that, as a lot of stuff ends up tied to having done the main quests.
