Artifact Weapon tmogs

On the PTR, I can mog an artifact weapon of another spec only if it falls into the category of whatever weapon type I have equipped. Is this intended? I was under the impression that they are unlocking the ability to transmog any other specs’ artifact appearances.

An example would be if I have a 1h sword equipped, I can only equip another spec’s artifact if it is a 1h sword. If another spec’s artifact appearance is a staff, I cannot not transmog it on the PTR.

If you transmog from the “Legion Artifact” tab, you can still force the transmog for whichever spec you’re currently in over whichever weapon type.

I assume they did this on purpose, in order to add value to using your actual specs Artifact transmog.
