With a few of the restrictions being lifted regarding Artifact Weapon transmog, would it be possible to also make the Balance of Power and requirements for the Mage Tower appearance to be made account-wide? That’d be pretty sweet.

It makes no sense that all but the Keystone Master achievement are account wide for purposes of unlocking the Balance of Power tints!
Balance of power sure, mage tower no. The mage tower challenge was a challenge for each specc. While some speccs shared the same scenario it was accomplished differently by useing your classes abilities. It was kind of a show of you knowing your class. At the end it could be bruit forced with gear to some extent it still took alottle work.
Thats just what i think.
Nobody really cares about that , it would be the same as saying u cant do old raids to get their mogs cuz u didnt done in the time that they were out , such a stupid thing .
Is the artifact appearance xmog an SL only thing and not included in pre-patch?
It appears some stuff is still locked behind weapon types.
Aff and Destro Legion stuff can be applied to a staff - but because the Demo artifact was a dagger - you can’t apply it on a staff in one of those other specs.
Seems like it would have been easy to just group them all in Legion Artifacts? But yeah, depending on class - may still have some restrictions on what you can use for artifact appearances.
So I noticed I can transmog my 1H to my Destro staff, but I cannot transmog it to the Aff staff or the Demo Dagger.
Yeah there is definitely something amiss here. Just so people understand the issue, i will spell it out.
Atm, legion artifact weapons are still free to be xmoged regardless of what weapon type you are using. IE. as shadow, if i have a staff equiped, i can still xmog the staff to the artifact dagger skin, this was always the case.
Now since my ACTUAL weapon is a staff, when i go to the xmog weapon options, i see only 2 selections, artifact weapon and staves. Under the staves tab, i am able to select all the disc and holy artifact weapon skins i have unlocked. If i were to acquire a new dagger and replace my staff, i would no longer be able to xmog any disc or holy artifact weapon appearances as shadow.
Artifact weapon appearances for non current specs are bound by the actual weapon type you have equipped due to them being catagorized as basic weapon xmog skins and not as artifact weapon skins. If this is intended, it is absolutely wack to the 11th degree.
Aside from that, 1hers are currently not universal. Meaning that I am unable to xmog a one handed dagger into a one handed mace for example. I dont believe that is intended.

I would have to agree. If that was the case then it would be more restricted than what was allowed in BFA.
In addition, I found that I can transmog “half” of my Affliction artifact set. I can’t transmog the actual weapon, but in the OH section I can get my floating head to appear. Definitely not working correctly.
It should be noted that if you are not affliction but you do have an OH slotted on your character, the affliction floating head should be available since in that situation, the affliction artifact skins are treated like normal xmog skins so long as you are not currently affliction spec while at the xmog npc.
Same with shadow priest. As disc, i equipped an off hand along with a random mace, and noticed that i had the option to select my shadow artifact librams in the oh slot which further confirms that artifact weapon xmogs, in whatever slots they would occupy if actually equipped are treated as regular xmog skins when you are not currently the spec for which they are associated.
