I do recall Blizzard confirming that being able to show the enchant glows on artifact weapons was coming at some point, is it coming with the white and grey transmog patch on the 24th?
Supposed to be in 10.0.5, yeah.
Oh damn…that would be sweet!!
Update:
On gamerant.
World of Warcraft recently announced players would be able to apply Weapon Illusions to Artifact weapon appearances in the near future. Players can expect world of warcraft to add this new customization option for players in an early patch after Dragonflight’s launch.
Weapon Illusions are cosmetic effects, like glowing flames or magic energy, players can collect and apply to their weapons via the Transmogrification system. Though these effects can be applied to most melee weapons, Artifacts, like those from legion, cannot be modified with Weapon Illusions.
However, during a recent build of the Dragonflight beta, players noticed they were able to add Weapon Illusions to their Artifact weapon appearances. Surprised at its sudden appearance, they begged World of Warcraft to keep the new option for Artifacts. A later build removed this functionality, much to the dismay of fans. In a later blog post, World of Warcraft then confirmed the feature would be [coming soon after Dragonflight launches], once the bugs were ironed out of the system.
Looks like it’s incoming!
Update 2:
Ok it’s been confirmed in the 10.0.5 patch notes * Enchant illusions can now be applied on Artifact weapons.
You can apply enchants to them on the ptr right now, however some of the artifacts can’t be enchanted so idk if thats because it’s still being worked on or if intended
Ie ashbringer can be enchanted but hpal’s silver hand can’t
Hopefully we get more clarifications about it in 0.5
