Arthas did nothing wrong

Just another poor misunderstood soul. Hail our King.

Arthas doesn’t belong in the Maw. Ner’zhul does. Arthas himself didn’t do anything wrong except for making the desperate mistake of selling his soul for the power to save his people.

Mental health issues for sure. He’s such a good kid

Arthas will come home. Maybe. Probably not.

“Father…is it over?” always got me, pretty much let players know then and there everything he did wasn’t really “him” but unknown forces tainting his mind

But when are you coming home? The milk is probably spoiled by now

You are early Nourox. . Not Sunday yet

I am in the maw. I’m sorry, my son.

I find it odd that Uther acknowledges that what’s left of Arthas is all that is holding the Scourge back, that he wasn’t fully in control, but has no problem yeeting him into the Maw.

Not really a Sunday thread, gotta look into the Lich King lore. ^ What Efx said. He was actively trying to hold the Scourge at bay, but failed, gave his soul to try and save us

??? What?

Uther wasn’t there for that.

I want another screaming tree. Where are the leftover night elves? Hyjal perhaps?

Well, I can almost meet you half way.

He did start out on the right path, just sort of stepped off it and lost sight of the goal. If only he could have stayed off the forums when Mal’ganis was trolling him.

A piece of him was?

It’s all getting a bit convoluted.

In the Halls of Reflection, Jaina speaks to Uther from the sword and he says: “I suspect the piece of Arthas that is left inside the Lich King is all that holds the Scourge back from annihilating Azeroth” and that all that remains is a dwindling presence and only the Lich King remains.

Either blizzard is retconing the halls of reflection uther or just forgot. Either way, Halls of Reflection Uther directly contradict the Shadowland Uther. The entire story plot of Arthas souls and what he is responsible for is becoming a convoluted mess.

His intent was noble when he took the cursed blade. That’s what corrupted his mind. Anyone with a corrupted mind would do what Arthas did, because it’s literal mind control.

Now, the purging of Stratholme? That was a morally ambiguous decision. He was probably right to kill those people, but these are moral decisions he’s making on his own. Even if we call them necessary evils, they’re not acts that should send him to the Maw. I wouldn’t even put Arthas in Revendreth.

I could have swore that was his dad. I’ll go back and watch it again. It’s been 10 years since I watched, pretty sure it was his dad though

yeah arthas should have gone to maldraxxus imo

When Arthas killed Uther, Uther’s soul split in two. One half went into the blade, the other half went to Bastion. Watch the Afterlives: Bastion video carefully. I think When Uther’s soul split, the vengeance side went to Bastion. Hence, the dark Uther angel tearing stuff up in Bastion.
