Every new set that comes out, there’s so much clipping it’s pathetic. Just got the new mage 3 piece set from the trading post and the belt clips through robes… Other newer belts don’t clip, but for some reason, especially as a blood elf themed set, it completely clips into robes on blood elves. AMAZING WORK GUYS!
It could very well be a bug and not intended. Could post it in the bug report forum.
It’s not a bug, it’s poor art design. They know the belt has to stick out to clear the robes on the legs, yet the keep releasing long belts that clip through robes.
Yea, they seem to be super ok with clipping. I don’t know how they determine the weapon sizes. You have the rogue trading post ‘daggers’ that were bigger than most swords, that crazy huge fan for monks… but this month the Shaman axes are like wee hatchets…
I’d say it would be good for a non-robe set, but the huge collar on the headpiece sort of demands a robe. I wish the orbs were either part of the shoulders, or the helmet was just the floating orbs.
I’m just annoyed it’s got a big phoenix crest on it. We’re not all playing elves.
The Tier 2 priest set was a good example of how to make a caster robe-like pants w/ out using the full robe coverage. They need more of that in the game + better boots than just generic flat feet.
There’s a lot of models each set has to work on.
Every piece of 3D armor clips somehow, and that’s fine, but we can’t toggle hair with headpieces because clipping is bad
I do agree the clipping is bad! It makes me not use some armor. Nothing is more frustrating than weapons/shields and capes together. I wish they fix it.
It’s not just that there is clipping… I get it, limitations. It’s that the race the mogs are designed around egregiously clip through in the shoulders, head, and especially the belt. It’s so pathetic. Like they don’t even quality control the appearances or adjust them based on race.
they are working with 2004 era skeletons. Can’t really fault them too much
Considering how many new belt models don’t clip into the robes because they are properly designed, I think I can.
I bet those belts would clip on tauren, orc, draenei, any large character.
The teams doing environment art is great. The ones doing gear art is hit or miss.
I think this is related to either magic or Old Gods.
I’d be a pirate if my hair didn’t vanish every time I put on a hat.
Those new set from trading house is terrible
Yeah I ended up refunding it. Plus the staff sits really low on your back for some reason.
Also, why is the candy sword so gigantic? It just looks awkward.
What? You don’t like dual wielding lances?
