So, I’ve been playing this game on an old HP 15 laptop from about ten years ago ever since WoD. Recently, I bit the bullet and finally built my own PC now that I had not only the money, but my own place so I could justify having a desk to put it on.

And honestly, it’s really helped me appreciate the work the art team’s done. Now that I’m able to play the game with better graphics (Running a Radeon RX 570 4GB, which gives me on average 50-60 FPS at Graphic level 6, and 60-70 FPS at Graphic level 5), I’m able to see all the work they put into zones, mounts, and spell effects (I never noticed the teal/green particles in Shimmer before). I even noticed new details in older areas (Walking around Northrend Dalaran was like I was seeing it for the first time.) Heck, I even spent two hours just flying around my favorite zones, really taking in the work they’ve done.

Blizz, your art team has more than earned every dime you give them. Hell, give them a raise, and they’ll still have earned it.

I would like to point one crucial thing out.

I had to play on a crappy laptop for 6months, both games running on 1/10 classic and retail.

What I figured was that the retail “1” graphics are alot WORSE than classic is on “1”. I know that is hard to believe but retail on 1 is a disaster for some weird reason, most things are blurry, even character portraits to a point of character deformation lol.

I’ll appreciate them when they fix orc shoulders. But until then, they’re just slightly better than the balance team.
