Arrogant players vs Qualified Developers

It was not so much different in Europe back in the 90’s day, we could laugh on anything and the “offended” were a minority to complain and didn’t have that much power.
We were much more free.

Wokeness is also slowly spreading in few europeans countries but are much more limited than you in the USA…for now.
And no thanks for your companies to export this garbage ideology by the way.

It was already hard to apply the universalism here in Europe but the woke ideology is basically trying to restart/increase the racial and gender war.

I really don’t see how it’s a good thing to promote censorship, reverse sexism, reverse racism and forced inclusivity while all it does is to paint a target on people and ruin the culture.

And i also really don’t get how the companies are supporting this insanity when it’s obvious that people don’t want it just by looking at the state of the comics and movies promoting such ideology.
At least it means that the majority is still sane.

With resumes padded from Candy Crush and sesame credit.

Well this is a low level troll and hot take. Let’s call players arrogant because they have standards and expectations for an expensive game w/ a monthly fee… And let’s call devs “qualified” in an attempt to make the title sound more substantial. LOL. Sure they can be qualified for Blizzard, but we want better standards.

Imagine trash talking the devs while you literally played their game lol.

Not just play, but paying $15 a month.

They are just gluttons for punishment, and want to make the rest of us as miserable as them
:unamused:

Changes like these kill games. It has before and it will happen again. It makes the majority of players uncomfortable that blizzard has decided to become so PC that the game has to be changed for it.

What it means:

I will not engage with another player in chat, emotes or otherwise in the game. Too worried that something I say could offend and be reported. I’ll just keep all my communications in discord.

Honestly, the developers that push these changes are crazy. They need help. Legitimate help. They should not be in charge of a game as big as wow

This thread exists because of this mindset.

The arrogant player vs the Qualified Developer.

Thanks, I needed a laugh this morning.

It’s not arrogance. They need help.

When your company is going through rough times, getting sued and your product has one of the worst updates it has ever had, how exactly does virtue signaling help?

Oh yay, you removed some fun emotes. Suddenly shadowlands, bfa and wod are forgotten about.

The real thread should be arrogant developers vs themselves.

the only thing that will save this game is blizz learning how to make more than 1 patch a year and listening to feedback they get in beta instead of being arrogant and acting like know-it-alls.

It’s amazing that you’ll never see the hypocrisy of this post.

Oh man…I’ll be honest, it’s changes like this that make games bland and bad.

Think about it, nobody can be evil. None of the bad guys can do bad things. The story was bad but now it’s gonna be nonexistent. What’s next?

Will they remove death animations and bones from bodies next? How about instead of dying it’s just a 30 second incapacitate when your health reaches 0?

Soon it will be like the chinese client where when you die graves spawn and every bone is bread in the world. This will truly safe the game! Every bad word will be replaced by “fruit” aswell!

Oh, I find the hypocrite to be you. It is not arrogant players vs. qualified developers, it is concerned players vs. arrogantly qualified developers.

The developers might know how to make the game, but we know what it is we want or how things are in the game/how we, and perhaps others, will take to it. It is up to the developers to at least take concerns to heart and realize that maybe their vision is not the best for the game.

I can take or leave the changes, I’d rather they not happen but in the long run it does not effect gameplay. However, that does not mean I see larger issues with the systems in place, issues that need looked at and preferably fixed for the longevity of the game.

Remember, the base rating for WoW is T for teen, that is for 13 years old and up, not M (15+) or one of the Es and with online players, one should be warned that there will be the nasty kinds of player out there.

Except you and every other whiner don’t work for Blizzard, and they already released their statement for the reason behind the changes.

I resubbrd from a 4 month break… with still no release date on a minor patch… at this rate I might just skip all of sl unless 9.2 is killer.

At least bfa had patches release faster than a glacier

These changes are actually pretty stupid and don’t solve any problems the company has. It’s fair to say that Final Fantasy 14 has really the better developers at this point who care about the people who finance their jobs.

Qualified Developers

Didnt realise a developer course focused to heavily on censorship. Now wonder they are so focused on it while the game falls to poopoo.

There are multiple developers doing multiple job at the same time.
