If you aren’t running spear are you even a warrior anymore?
Ive been playing roar/blood and thunder with the double duration csmash/avatar talent too. Feels very good spread pressure. Still has big mortal strikes and big 1min goes especially if people clump. No skullspliter or spear either.
Typical DH thinking commenting is crying.
He made like 3 or 4 different topics within the span of a couple hours.
They can both be played effectively, Spear has the added utility of keeping something in place that has no way to bypass it, and its more burst/all the damage is dealt in a shorter window.
It’s easier to nab a kill with a smash > spear > ms with a triple crit lineup than it would be playing dragon roar, roar is more sustained damage (but not by much and assuming you’re also playing other bleed talents). You can argue burst is what wins games atm esp in solo que, but the reality is arms strength is in sharpen window alone, so even with less burst you’ll likely be able to kill just as well.
You don’t really give up any MS damage or overpower damage playing with most bleed talents now, You simply lose the spear crit damage modifier, the instant burst of spear and a few % crit mainly.
Really is pref, Spear is easier to play as you’re just trying to one shot pretty much.
