I am wearing the TW mog. I’m pretty sure I got it on a bug because I didn’t manage to kill any of the challenges. I submitted a bug report as well as feedback on the arms challenge.
It is mechanically doable but I do not see how anyone is realistically supposed to beat the fight.
I can consistently get xylem down the second boss has way too much health though. I run out of floor space before he gets into execute range.
I did this challenge during ToS in legion. I also did it on the survival hunter before ToS released and I did it on frost DK as well sometime. I know the fight. I should not be struggling to get a boss to execute range let alone kill him if I am mechanically sound.
Here is a strat to help you out to see my point.
Use spell reflect on CD combo it with storm bolt to chain disrupt his cast with the second wind talent to heal up. you can also fear a cast and let him sit full duration to heal up.
Use jump–> heroic leap on the first comet storm, bladestorm on the second, Die by the sword sweeping strikes dreadnaught overpower while weaving in victory rush to squeeze through the 3rd.
During the arcane pahse HOLD YOU INTERUPT FOR DRAW POWER! Save heroic leap for the sphere phase. you be leaping to or as close to the star swirly thing where xylem is chilling invis. second wind will heal you up during barrage as long as you dodge it all.
rinse and repeat to get the first boss to like 10%. Then big boss comes out. Kite him around the outer rim and pull his channeled beam away from him kill the void things with sweeping strikes no Cds.
Rinse and repeat as many times as your sanity can take before you realize the son of a windowlicker has too much health.
I managed to get him to 24% as my best score. I got to a 3rd avatar attempting to min max my floor space and CD usage. with drums/pots etc… It just feels like waaay to big of a gap.

That is exactly what happens to me, but I can only get him to 29% consistently. I have literally all 36 art skins, but the health is too high or we are missing powers that blizzard hasn’t thought about in years!
I’d pretty much bet money any balancing was based on you having optimal timewalking gear if there was any balancing at all. I’m leaning more torwards there just being no tuning and we’re effectively beta testing it live.
Your stats aren’t the greatest. I would trade a majority of your verse for haste. Also take cleave instead of warbreaker, but that’s not a big deal if you don’t.
I was constantly getting him to around 7-10% for awhile until I changed the way I was back peddling. I kept going into the wall and back, but then one try I went perpendicular with the wall instead of rubbing against it. And I got the kill on that try. Now I bet that really had nothing to do with lol I probably just executed my rotation much better. But maybe that way caused me to never take any soak damage so I never had to waste a global or rage on a defensive.
I will say don’t immediately run away when he casts the seeds on you. You can get about 4 or seconds of damage on him before you can just leap out.
Different strokes for different folks I guess. I find storm bolt utterly useless on this fight. I can stay at 70-100% HP spamming impending victory and just eating comet storm. Then lower leap cool down instead of second wind makes the arcane phase a breeze
the post is a bit out of date. I bought crusader about an hour before the hotfix went out and kicked his buttocks.
After Crusader “hotfix” it is impossible to do the arms challenge
Just NOT doable at ALL
I really would like to see if anyone can upload arms mage tower clips without Crusader
I did it after the hotfix. Crusade is still good. Just not op.
I was able to.complete this today after around 50-60 attempts. Took about 30 to get phase 1 down. The problem was learning the optimal way to execute phase 2. I bought all hast crit green gear, used all consumables possible and a few enchants, but no crusader enchant. Really it came to optimizing floor space and executing your rotation on point. I had the boss in the middle of the room on top of the orb before first set of adds and after that slowly rotated around the edge of the room. It can be difficult to judge the purple pools range but you can take a tick of damage from it here and there. I finished with about 10-20% floor left at around 900dps. If you need any tips let me know.
