How does both specs stack against each other in 8.2?
Fury outperforms arms across the board in PVE. Arms is kept afloat in PVP by sharpened blade.

I would go to say fury pvp due to all the healing it recieves
In 3v3? What about 2v2 running DK + War?
Im injoying fury as both pvp and pve. Granted i dont min max like some, just play to have fun. I feel fury has better survivability than arms in pvp though.
Personally I prefer Arms for PvE. I have no problem trading mediocre healing for more damage.
The only time I use for Fury for PvE is when I’m mog hunting in low level raids/dungeons, due to the ability to WW spam.
The only time Arms actually beats Fury in damage is in mass burst AoE situations, and 2 target burst cleave. Fury beats it in everything else.
First off, hurray for you on just playing what you prefer. More people need to do that. That said, while YOU probably get more damage out of Arms because you’re better at it, to say that Arms as a spec does more damage than Fury is simply incorrect.
Some people have their arms simming higher than their fury. Myself included.

im very aware that fury is far superior dps than arms.
I am planning to ask the warrior forums soon on whats wrong with my character( i still sim higher with bis azertie gear for arms than bis azerite gear for fury in the gear change thing) but first trying to figure out myself.
Maybe im doing something wrong in my sim.
The fact that you’re using a r2 essence stands out to me. What are your various essence levels? Ideal setup and such shifts dramatically based on what essences (and their ranks) you have available.
My setup is usually rank 3 lucid and rank 3 focusing iris for raids.
Ive been grinding out bote so messing around whith essences in bgs but for now I use iris major and lucid minor for dungeons.
Im about to get condensed life force rank 3 so that might be better for me.
Yeah if you have r3 lucid but not r3 CLF I can see why you might be able to get arms to outsim fury. That should help you a ton.
BotE is pretty good on some of the multi-target fights, and it’s the only alternative to Iris in dungeons really so don’t stop grinding it.
I prefer fury, i use it for pve and pvp both, i know theres arms pureists out there that would hang me for saying this but in pvp especially i see fury more viable as i tend to prefer class specs that dont fall over like paper the second the healer is down.
