and why? I just hopped back into wow after about a 6 month break and I was just curious.
With healer, Arms.
Without healer then Fury, but I still like arms better personally.
Why? Well arms has MS and sharpen blade and incredible pressure against heals.
Fury has better survivability but just lacks some of the nicer tools for pvp. I still pvp as fury once in awhile and it works.
Thanks, I was starting to feel the same. I never lose HP playing solo on fury but it doesn’t seem to do as much damage as arms either. Thank you for your input.
if you are looking for 1v1 or solo content i would not recommend a war.
If you are playing lower Tier or skilled opponents furry will dominate.
If you are playing a higher skill opponents Arms pulls ahead with bleeds and utility but you will definitely need support.

Arms is in a pretty bad spot right now, but once we have close to max ilvl and the right stats it will pull ahead again. It always does in the mid part of pvp seasons.
But rogue/ww will be the top tier melee until the end of the season.
I’m a casual WPvP scrub but Arms (with a healer) is so much fun rn.
Im in fury atm, but I’m planning to switch back to arms. My only annoyance is dealing with being slowed in 2s as arms, feel like i can never catch up to anyone where as fury im constantly on top of my target
I play fury for fun as pvp but fury doesn’t have the tool kit, dps nor the healing as other class. I enjoy fury but class design wise, Blizzard is doing a really bad job and favor DH/MONK/ROGUE too much.

I can’t think of a time fury has really been better than arms. Arms always had more utility than fury and they have executes that actually deal damage.
I’ve been doing some PvP as fury, and I’ve been enjoying it alot. If I want extra survivability, I usually go with conflict as my major. Even as a rank one it helps quite a bit. The only prob I’m facing in PvP, are Pallies, Demon Hunters, and locks. Their health doesn’t seem to go down as fast as other classes, and damn pallies bubble! Get them to 10% health they pop bubble and heal back up. DH’s HP and locks Chaos Bolt, in arenas out of the blue and completely random, a DH or Lock will 1 shot me. It’s like a 50/50 chance, other than that I’ve been having a blast pvping as Fury.

I completely 100% agree, i leveled my warrior using 75% BGs and yes once in a while I jump back onto fury for something new, it has potential, it has that sustain, but it lacks that Oomph or punch I get spamming execute with arms. If you have a friend who can heal you, you are just going to have a great time with arms. I have nothing against fury, and it “feels better” to play than frost, but when you want to dual wield in BGs it can really feel nice.
when is rogue literally not top of anything pvp related?
like the others have said, arms is preferred in arenas or bgs with a healer. if you are specifically doing bgs, then fury is fine because they provide a bit more mobility and survivability for solo play but even then, i still would recommend arms especially for rbgs. not just for the possibly higher dps but mortal strike healing reduction is too valuable to miss out. so overall, arms recommended but fury is not necessarily worse but different so it does what arms cant (vice versa) but im talking typical efficiency wise.

For rated? Arms. Both are fine for BG’s and world content.
Arms with full kit might be the strongest melee in pvp rn
The recent nerfs to warlocks and mages further that tremendously.
I did some 2v2 skirmishes with an arms warrior and me as Fury. We smashed 6 or 7 arenas and no losses. It was strange really because I usually lose grouping with another warrior. We won against healers, locks, Demon Hunters, Rogues, and Hunters, Monk, and a Shaman. And we really had no strategy lol.The arms warrior congratulated me and said I did a great job as Fury in arena. I’ve been getting alot of compliments in PvP. And I even had some enemies I killed get so mad, and whisper me on another toon saying I suck or I’m bad, or I hate you! I’m gonna camp you if I find you! Lmao made me feel pretty damn good tbh!

We are up there, but WW/Rogue are still better than Arms.
Outlaw and Sub are not doing well in PVP. Only Assassin which is fun.
With gear? Arma dude. Its beast mode compared to Fury. MS effect coupled with arms pressure and Sharpen blade are just insane.
