Is it just me or did they change the sound effects on overpower and mortal strike? They sound a lot less impactful now.

I have not noticed.
I think they did a couple expansions ago. If i remember correctly, back in BFA slightly, or at least executes sound? I personally don’t notice any big difference. I actually enjoy the sounds, especially Mortal Strike! Mortal Strike in my humble opinion has one of the best ability sounds warrior has, that and shield wall for prot

I figured it out. I race changed to Kul Tiran recently and there’s a bug where certain gender/race combos have bugged sounds and combat text.
On Kul Tiran male most arms sound effects actually trigger the missed attack sound instead of the landing sound. Overpower also generates no combat text.
I tried a different race and none of the issues happened on it.
Weird.

For me the Execute sound is off. Lacking impact, so I guess the landing sound or something is off.

There is addon called cws, classic warrior sounds. I use it to for the old school sound effects, they just feel better to me

Thanks, Zemms. I might give it a try if they don’t fix it soon. But I was cool with all the sounds until the War Within patch kicked in.

Thank you for figuring this out. I thought it was a real change… Glad it’s a bug.
Its a bug and it seems they will never fix it. They are just ignoring all the forum posts about it and offering LITTERALY nothing in response. Blizzard sucks.
