Arms rotation question

Hi - still unclear so hoping to get this better understood. Do you only use Mortal Strike when you have 2 stacks of the “overpower” buff? Or is it ok to use MS if you only have one stack of the buff, if the previous MS was applied with 2 stacks? Hopefully that makes sense.

Also, do you MS when CD is back up instead of Condemn, or do you only reapply MS only if you need to keep deep wounds active and instead spam Condemn?

Last, what is community preference on Skullsplitter vs Sudden Death? Casual pvp and m+ content.

Ty all and happy smashing!

MS is used off CD every chance you get regardless of number of overpower stacks. Make sure you have enough rage pooled to do so. That means sometimes you just plain don’t press any buttons when waiting for the recharge.

MS is used off CD even during execute/condemn windows. You’re fishing for colossus smash procs from the legendary and the mortal combo conduit greatly buffs MS overall damage as well.

I recommend sticking to sudden death. You get the most mileage out of it and it’s the more fun talent too.

After installing Hekili I’m just a robot to what that tells me to do  I think my dps has improved because of it. My understanding is to spam MS on cd.

If you’re using Enduring Blow (which you should be, unless niche Venthyr situations), Mortal Strike always takes priority.

Rend
MS
Overpower
Execute dump/SD
Slam dump/Ignore Pain dump (forces Tactician)

The crux of Arms’ priority is to try and get as many Mortal Strikes in to get as much Colossus Smash uptime from Enduring Blow as possible. Execute can hit a bit harder with no stacking bonus requirement like MS, but having Colossus Smash up is a lot more total damage.
