Arms pvp since prepatch

How is everyones experience so far ?

Before the prepatch I felt really strong, now I feel a bit less than that.

I tried the bleed spec and it was fun but not my playstyle.

I have found some enjoyment and success playing Avatar with Warlords Torment, and the right side of the Arms tree taking the buffs to execute and mortal strike.

The problem I have noticed thus far is being very susceptible to CC without bladestorm. I find mysef getting chained roots / stunned and unable to connect outside of charge.

I am going to try swapping the Execute / mortal strike buffs for Bladestorm and unhinged / hurricane, but i fear the dmg loss may be too much.

I saw in another thread that some Arms players were hitting 60k+ Mortal strikes.

I am curious what everyone elses experience is so far, and if anyone has any tips

They seem horrible to me. Havnt tried fury but compared to aff destro spriest enh and even ele(these are the only specs ive played so far), they just seem booty. Losing ignore pain and still having nerfed dstance while doing average damage seems pretty garbo to me

Warrior is awful complete garbage literately unplayable in PvP… even Magnus and other r1 warriors I have seen on streams are saying its so bad right now. Does 0 damage compared to other classes it is a literal wet noodle. I dont know what they did to this class but its really bad right now.

same thing here, warrior arms is unplayable so far, even with the single build, impossible to play without aoe and bladstorm

Wait till you see it at 70 when it’s still worse than every class except mage, but people on the warrior forum swear it does good dmg but only comparable to itself. Tbf warrior is kinda due for an off season, still piggy back on a stronger class and push with a big MS. B tier overall tho.

I swear warrior is the hardest class to balance because the kit is too primitive. Damage is too low? The utility doesn’t make up for it and everyone just plays rogue/ww

Damage too high? Oppressive with utility and FOTM because it’s fairly simple to play - has no immunity, spammable cc to rotate, etc.

felt awful on beta, did no damage and extra stuff all classes got makes it hard to keep uptime, im not a good warrior tho

K well this is a bit of an exaggeration.

Yeah this was rough but honestly having impending victory and the 3 min big heal kinda makes up for it. I feel like i have decent survivabilty.

This is what i was noticing.

Although, I recenty tried swapping the Execute / mortal strike buffs for Bladestorm and Unhinged, and paireed with Avatar and Spear I have been doing some solid dmg ------ However, I have noticed that DKs can practically heal through my dmg with death strike, and I did a game vs a warlock who stayed at 100% despite me popping literally everything on him.

to help vs warlocks u can spec the 45 second shield break throw talent, then demolition pvp talent, it was hitting warlock shields for ~100k in beta, and matches up with their shield cd

Bad news…Just played Annihilator Fury warrior(The one that makes you lose raging blow and adds damage to auto attacks like a DH) & it played better than current iteration Arms. RIPinpeace

annihiliator fury is imo best fury build

Currently an unplayable D-Tier class in PvP. Does no damage compared to other classes because the specs are balanced around level 70 talent points. If you’re Arms, getting Bladestorm locks you out of the other talents needed to kill someone. If you don’t take Bladestorm, you’re locked out of combat with CC the whole game. If you’re Fury, you need Avatar and Reckless Abandon to do damage, but it locks you out of Annihilator for the Bloodthirst build that actually keeps you alive. If you go Annihilator, you don’t have any burst.

But on the other side of the coin, all other classes improve dramatically at 70, and still leave Warrior behind in PvP. Just not as hard. Warrior around B-Tier at 70.

Prot is at least great for tanking, though. PvE time, bois!

I got a build come to stream ill show a nasty arms build for pvp. twitch.tv/djrio and !arms

ive seen a few rank 1s play it and it seems average. its not op but also not garbo. its basically just there. once you hit 70 it should be on par with other classes etc etc etc etc …

i’ve been pumping with this fury build my friend gave me with odyns fury. u basically execute people with it. got complaints in a soloq about how op warriors were !

Why the bloody hell did they remove ignore pain??!?! Did it break us??? Were we just that unstoppable with it???

Seriously concerned

Huh. Well I read something new everyday

Not going to get any better at 70. Will have a few new talents of course but so will all the other classes that are exceptionally better than warrior right now.
