Whenever dps gets utility such as cc or offhealing, all you ever do is whine, then you wonder why dps just end up becoming one-dimensional rotation spam.
I seem to be the only Arms who has not played with a Prot.
Not that i wouldnt try the comp just hasnt happened.
As for this crushing assault slam thing … its pretty busted. Its rare when it procs (which is very often) i dont take 1/2 someone’s health. Lesser geared players i have 1 shot.
Dosent exactly feel rewarding. I have also done no rated 3s sense pre.

I’m 40ilvls below you on a warrior I’ve barely just now touched since hitting 120 at like the beginning of BFA. Just pure dudu gear, and somehow I’ve had the exact same experiences and sentiments with CA Slams. “Accidentally” cracking people for 9k+ Slams when the purple icon lights up with no idea why or how those numbers are being achieved.
It makes no sense, and definitely doesn’t feel like a “oh man I really outplayed that dude and legit sent him on a much deserved corpse run right there” rewarding moment. Took a DH that had 21K hp when the fight started (so probably 125-130ilvl?) from 50% - dead in a Stormbolt / CA Slam. That’s it. No crazy buffs or other modifiers, not even Avatar.
Just chocked it up to … well that’s what happens when turrible BFA and a prepatch cross paths. Actually pretty frustrating to get no semblance of what SLA might actually play like through this prepatch because of Az gear / essences enabled. These random one-hitter quitter Slams mean nothing to me.
So kinda like Destro/mage all of BFA. Just let it go live and we can chalk this up to karma. It’s good when melee can chunk someone for 50%+ of their HP.

SL might be good but hope other Tanks can be buffed up to Prot Pal status. Would love to see Blood Dk/Arms or Brew Monk/Arms it’s just great when there is comp diversity.

If that went live i would feel like a lock in bfa. Granted i would still take a leisurely stroll to my glad mount but id prob quit after that. Just not rewarding. Its about as challenging as punching 5 year olds.

Prot warriors take so much skill. Honestly, to be able too play prot at a high level you need to understand a healer and dps role in rated player versus player. Not a lot of people can do that. The ideal meta would be dps/prot/healer. Having prot be a support role that does high amp burst (roughly 44-50% of someone’s health when they use their cooldowns) while also keeping their dps/healer alive during the opponents burst. This is peak player versus player meta. This idea of dps/dps/healer is so outdated and just look at how many bad seasons we have had? Never heard of a bad season with dps/prot/healer. Anyways, um… I bought a whole bunch of shungite rocks, do you know what shungite is? Anybody know what shungite is? No, not Suge Knight, I think he’s locked up in prison. I’m talkin’ shungite. Anyways, it’s a two billion year-old like, rock stone that protects against frequencies and unwanted frequencies that may be traveling in the air. That’s my story, I bought a whole bunch of stuff. Put 'em around the la casa. Little pyramids, stuff like that.
