I started a warrior alt yesterday that I want to get to 70. Tried both arms and fury and it seems like fury is a little more up my alley. I’m still new to the class, so I just wanna know which spec is considered better for pve content? I’m not a high end raider. Mostly do lower keys
im no expert but most ppl will tell you to play what you like, but i think lvling and the such i would say fury cause its alittle more fast paced
For what you’re doing, they are both fine.
Fury is out performing arms in most content, but again–arms won’t really limit your content if that’s what you prefer.
I normally play arms but i would have to vote fury currently. Arms builds are either all single target with little to no aoe, or all aoe with no single target. Im currently playing fury in pve content and arms single target in pvp content .
Fury until 4pc then arms grabs the crown because fury set bonuses are the worst bonuses for any DPS spec in the game right now. By a wide margin.
For leveling, I prefer dungeon queuing, so I’d recommend Protection. As you get higher up you can go with your preference, but Fury is definitely the better general spec for that.
At level cap, Fury is better until tier. Arms actually gets tier bonuses, but Fury… kinda doesn’t. It’s built around Execute, with the 2-set just being a crit chance on it, and the 4-set basically being an extra Sudden Death talent. Execute does about the same damage as Crushing Blow and isn’t generally prioritized in the rotation. As a result, the set is pretty worthless.
Arms on the other hand… gets 10% crit chance to MS, and then MS, Cleave, and Execute crits increase damage + crit chance by 5% for 6 seconds–an effective bonus for both ST and AoE that will likely always be active. Arms already stacks crit (usually), stil this just ends up being good all around.
Arms has some serious niche power in single target, and multitarget situations. The problem is that it has to specialize in one or the other, and doesn’t mix them well. Fury can spec into multitarget and give up very little ST, or spec fully into ST and never cleave.
Fury has always felt more fun to me. Arms doesn’t feel as visceral as Fury. I even go with the talent that gets rid of the spammed strike and it still feels great to play with almost always a button to push. And as minimal as the self-healing is it’s always nice to be able to take some pressure off of your healer.
Yeah fury plays a lot closer to windwalker monk which is my main. Ended up going fury and am happier with it. Arms is to slow for me
