Arms or fury for mythic and raids?

What’s the spec to use?

I’m not quallyfied to answer this but I too am interested.

According to warcraftlogs .com, Arms is very slightly better than Fury in Ny’alotha but Fury is a fair bit better than Arms for M+

Fury seems like the overall winner to me.

What ever spec is more fun for you.
They’re both in a good place and very competitive.
One note, for big boi pulls in M+ you’re going to want to be arms. Fury’s big AoE caps out at 5 targets with the cleave from Whirlwind Buff.
Arms can hit all targets with Cleave and watch them bleed for days.

Play the spec you’re good at.

Auzx nails it really - the specs are close enough right now that the difference in their potential performance is unlikely to be greater than the difference in your skill and gearing for the two specs. If you genuinely had equal gear and skill for both specs, you’d generally want to M+ as Fury, pvp as Arms, do mass AoE fights as Fury, 2 target fights as Arms, and whichever sims higher for you for pure ST.

So all that being said, Fury all the way.

Both are viable, fury is fast pace and easier to mess up the rotation, arms is slower but a bit easier to get down

Arms is doing better for mythic raids. But if you’re not raiding mythic who cares. From my guild i run with our BM, and warrior are always top. The arms warrior on my team always beats the fury warrior with around the same gear but they are very close. Play what you like. I sim higher as fury. Like 3k higher but in actual raids I do better as arms. That’s just me. I really love the play of arms VS fury. Also I find it easier ( don’t blame me my main is a Dh).

I have noticed in logs that Arms seems to be pulling ahead.
I actually prefer to play arms so i kind of hope it fills out that way.
Sucks for fury preference players though and then arms would dominate in PVP and PVE.

The last couple of weeks in mythic+ have really been annoying. Because of bolstering and bursting affixes, I’ve been having to back off my aoe damage and single target adds. It sucks because I really love to go ham aoe on targets and not walk on egg shells with my damage.

sim sim sim sim. whatever the numbers tell me. i like both specs. so whatever i’m getting bigger numbers in is what i go with.
