After a 7 year hiatus, I returned to WoW where many things have changed. Some for the better and some for the worse, but given that many of the dungeon and raid mounts that I desired could now be easily obtained, I got to work.
Many have dropped reasonably quickly (which I will definitely not complain about), but I have had over 700 attempts at getting this Armored Razzashi Raptor, which statistically is an absurd anomaly.
I’ve been trying to find someone that has had it drop recently, after finding this thread where other mount drops were bugged: Really blizzard? LETS TALK ABOUT THIS "BUG"
So Blizz, am I just ridiculously unlucky, or have I just wasted a heck of a lot of time farming for something that was impossible to currently acquire?
I assume you’re talking about NEW zg raptor and not the vanilla one. I kinda gave up on that one too.

I genuinely forget that ZG still exists on a regular basis.

It drops, it just has a very low drop rate.
Several years ago I set out to get both the black cat and armored raptor from ZG. I cleared the whole instance for the loot/gold drops.
Saw 2 black cats in the time it took to get this Raptor. I would say 100 runs or so.
When it finally dropped…I was awe struck. It finished out my collection of all 4 ZG mounts as I had the green raptor and orange tiger from the original ZG.
Keep at it…it will drop…eventually.

I got it a few months ago after around 780 attempts. I too thought it was bugged. Glad I didn’t stop.

I haven’t seen a rare dungeon/raid mount drop in over 2 years. Pretty sure I’m cursed. Take it from me, bad RNG is most definitely a possibility, if not a guarantee. Part of me wonders if I’m paying some sort of price for my string of luck through WoD. Seriously, it was insanely good. As a result I have insanely bad luck now, I’d imagine. Worth it? Some days. Other days I want to scream to the heavens “WHY GOD WHY?!”
Negative, I got both the “new” ZG mounts way back when they were first added to the game. Like everything else, they probably nerfed the dropped rate to like 0.000001% once the content became old because it’s easy to solo and they can’t have people getting mounts easily. Gotta keep the carrot on the stick.
Think the original was removed when they made ZG and ZA heroic 5 mans.
Believe there is another that drops now.
