Armor types should be class locked

There is no reason why warriors should wear leather, druids cloth, paladins, etc.

Lock the armor types like retail!!!

Biggest issue with Classic is the itemization is broken due to classes using the wrong armor types.

Warrior stacking DPS gear etc.

Why you mad though? Go play retail if this is an issue for you.

This wont happen bc it would require a massive vanilla gear overhaul, which the devs are too lazy to implement.

Warriors take more damage if they wear leather so why shouldn’t they be able to deal more damage :woman_shrugging:

“Better stats” is a pretty darned good reason if you ask me. Is there any reason that a Paladin, Shaman or Druid that is healing should prefer heavier, bulkier gear if it has more armor value, but they are standing in the back healing, and not taking any damage?

The way it works seems to make sense…

:woman_shrugging:

im in favor of the cataclysm feature that gave you 5% of your highest main stat for having all armor slots as cloth, leather, mail, plate etc

I get sad when I see a paladin in a dress or a warrior taking a rogue or druids leather

So you’re saying cloth should be top DPS?

If movement speed or range of motion were an attribute associated with armor type that affected DPS, then cloth should be the least restrictive.

If paladins couldnt wear cloth, they would have nothing at all for healing lol.

SILENCE, VENDING MACHINE.

theyve already shown with BFD they can correct the loot mistakes of the past. theres no reason they cant have healing plate

Shh… don’t tell everyone why my warrior wears leather…

Always the way classic has been and it will never change. They would have to reitemize the game completely, especially for Shamans and Paladins.

This might be the stupidest thing I have ever read

So people are already complaining about not getting gear, and the solution to this would be for example to add an entire set of gear for Holy Paladins in BFD, whom are arguably the weakest healer and aren’t particularly desired say compared to a priest or druid which are both better in P1. Further restrict them from cloth and leather making it both harder to gear up when they are there as well as resulting in less gear for classes which can use it when healing plate drops, ultimately resulting in more drops going to DE?

warriors are dps

you gonna be mad at level 50 when tank warriors start rolling MS on healing gear  (honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if they fixed that, but i’m not counting on it)

My Shaman can’t roll on cloth gear in BFD without getting reprimanded. What is the official etiquette for pugs? Am I only allowed to roll on leather?

No!

Sure there is, stats on gear in classic are all over the place, and stats have more than one effect. Agi isn’t just attack power, it’s also dodge and crit which warriors and paladins can use.

Imo, don’t roll on cloth set pieces. Everything else is fair game, imo. If you want to be nice, wait to see who else needs something before rolling on random blues.

Meanwhile, Edgemaster’s Handguards are MAIL. Are you saying non orc/human warrior shouldn’t be able to wear it, only shamans and hunters?
