“Better stats” is a pretty darned good reason if you ask me. Is there any reason that a Paladin, Shaman or Druid that is healing should prefer heavier, bulkier gear if it has more armor value, but they are standing in the back healing, and not taking any damage?
So people are already complaining about not getting gear, and the solution to this would be for example to add an entire set of gear for Holy Paladins in BFD, whom are arguably the weakest healer and aren’t particularly desired say compared to a priest or druid which are both better in P1. Further restrict them from cloth and leather making it both harder to gear up when they are there as well as resulting in less gear for classes which can use it when healing plate drops, ultimately resulting in more drops going to DE?
you gonna be mad at level 50 when tank warriors start rolling MS on healing gear (honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if they fixed that, but i’m not counting on it)
My Shaman can’t roll on cloth gear in BFD without getting reprimanded. What is the official etiquette for pugs? Am I only allowed to roll on leather?
Sure there is, stats on gear in classic are all over the place, and stats have more than one effect. Agi isn’t just attack power, it’s also dodge and crit which warriors and paladins can use.
Imo, don’t roll on cloth set pieces. Everything else is fair game, imo. If you want to be nice, wait to see who else needs something before rolling on random blues.
