So maybe this is purely OCD - fine I’ll accept that - but why do we have 12 classes and 4 armor types and not have it divided evenly?
3 Cloth (Mage, Priest, Warlock)
4 Leather (Demon Hunter, Druid, Monk, Rogue)
2 Mail (Hunter, Shaman)
3 Plate (Death Knight, Paladin, Warrior)
Druids and Rogues make sense for leather. But (again, maybe OCD) wouldn’t it have made sense for Demon Hunters or Monks to wear mail armor? I could see either of them in it. Personally I think Monks should wear Mail (DH’s glide seems likely to be hindered by mail) - but if it’s DHs, sure, whatever.
I don’t know.
Monks and Demon hunters are also agile. Mail gear would, in my opinion, be a hindrance.
Yes there’s a lot of folks going after leather gear, class fantasy though. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I would rather just wear a thong…and nothing else…but leather is what the development team wants the dh to wear
I was gonna say this. Cloth is too light and mail is too heavy. Monks work with leather
Meh this is a fantasy game, but in real life leather armor would honesty be more restrictive on movement then mail…
I am one of those “people” that do medieval Reenactment and mail is less restrictive then leather now granted they really didn’t use leather armor like you think they did mostly it was boiled and used on some parts of arm and legs, and mostly shields… now in 1415ish the French sorta had leather armor but it did not last long…
Because movement and it sucked lol
I suppose my reason for Monks was based more on thinking about feudal Japanese warriors - but yeah I see the arguments about it making “sense” - just kinda odd to me I guess.
