what is the armor cap
On my Paladin without the Armor Zandalarian trinket (2k armor) I was able to hit 17k armor
There is no armor cap. The more armor you have the less physical damage you take.
I’m mid-raid but I think 17,625 is cap for lvl63 and boss mobs.
To piggyback, that’s the equivalent of 75% damage reduction.
There IS an armor cap(sort of). There is no actual armor cap, but there is a damage reduction cap of 75%. So any armor above the amount it takes to give you 75% damage reduction is wasted. The damage reduction is based on level, but since the highest level in classic is 63, we just calculate how much armor it takes to give you 75% damage reduction to a lvl 63 and call that the cap.
Its why mass pulling in lower level dungeons still makes you take significant damage at higher levels. Because you cannot exceed 75% damage reduction from armor.
vs a level 63…
