How come armor sets are always hideous? I remember. I play this since vanilla and the armor sets were something desired not only because of the power, but because they were also desirable to the eye.
Up to season 3 (first seasons ever) the armor sets were always increasing in quality. Post that, the armor sets just became worse and worse. Even vanilla armor sets were better looking.
Class identity was lost entirely. Please the people who designed the old armor sets again. Kthnxbai.

Its runs the gambit. Some sets are really good, some are really bad. This tier for me didn’t really fit my tastes. I think dh,warr, and hunter are ok but none of them are my favorite.
I wish I had the time to get a full 13 set collection of df season 1 elite though.
They weren’t. They were insanely low poly random colored sets.

Mages are a huge green stone? How does this connect with the mage lore, or vibe? This is super ugly. Priest, some parts are okay, but pants with like a cloak? This is just hideous.
Some are horrible and others are great. The season one paladin tier set was horrible. The Arathi sets look great.
Paladin set is also good.
Mage Vanilla sets are probably the worst thing I’ve ever seen, even today lol.
Also the Vanilla Hunter set, the dragon one, always hated it.
Current TWW sets go from decent to pretty damned good. I don’t think any are outright terrible.
And there’s recolors on top of that.
Does a bad monk set even exist?

I’m really enjoying the DK set this time around. If I had any negative comments, it would lean more towards theme than anything else.
I would love to see more vanilla sets being redone with higher resolutions and more polygons.

So just an fyi, the green set is the pvp set lol. You have purple, red, blue, and a sindorei color scheme for pve.
And if we exclude the green pvp set. Light blue, frost. Purple, arcane. Red, fire.
Dk set is fire.
Hunter set is fire.
Evoker good.
Dh good.
Monk is fire, helm me no likey.

Yea I saw that and… my eyes lol. No idea who thought that was a good idea.
Even the weapons were pretty bad. And to make the raid worse… the mount has a horrendously low drop rate.
Nearly lost my sanity farming it in lfr during df. Gave up after the 100th time having to solo tank her with 5 people alive.
In all my years, there are only 3 sets of Hunter armor I enjoy. Cryptstalker, Rift, and tier2… the dragon one.
The rest have been horrid for Hunters.
T-mog kinda makes this moot tbh , sure certain tiers /sets are good, but matching pieces over 20 years of xpacs in a skill in masterclass.
ngl when i came to WoW end of Vanilla and then came outland and we all looked like bad eyesores from some bad marvel artist from 70’s…I almost quit the game.
