It’s kind of weird that you get auto dismounted when you go up for air. But I guess breathing is for suckers.
it could be a mount equipment thing? idk.

Several items, including Mastercraft Kalu’ak Fishing Pole, Deepdive Helmet and Band of Icy Depths allow underwater breathing while equipped. Not a mount but still helps.

But for weird random reasons my alts want to cross the sea 'n they don’t have cool things like that.

With the new tradeskill equipment system, the kalu’ak fishing pole effectively grands permanent 100% water breathing forever.
It’s honestly sort of broken.
how is it broken? it went from +30 to +13 fishing skill, but the water breathing was always there. I think they removed the rep requirement as well and you just need NR fishing.
It was always there, yeah. But it used to replace a weapon to benefit from the water breathing. Now it’s just passive water breathing forever.
Not something I’d switch out even if it gave no modifier to fishing at all.

Not that fishing skill matters in DF, its mostly a placebo stat at this point. That aside putting it in the profession tool slot gives you perm water breathing without having to unequip your main hand.
