Trying to get honored w/ the argent dawn to unlock old naxx, the quests all the guides tell me to do for dawn rep are giving me argent CRUSADE rep.

are these the same? whats the go

Google it cause there is a difference. I remember back in cataclysm having to go to light Hope Chapel and get a repeatable quest from the dude in the graveyard behind the chapel and continue to run in and out of stratholme.

It’s classic TW week right? Just go farm some TW dungeons then buy some rep tokens. I’m pretty sure AD is one of the ones for this week.

Yeah, I just checked, the classic TW vendors are in the capital cities. For SW it’s right by Chromie. And you can by a Commendation of the Argent Dawn for 50 Timewarped Badges that is worth 500 AD rep. They also have:

  • Thorium Brotherhood
  • Zandalar Tribe
  • Timbermaw Hold
  • WIntersaber Trainers
  • Hydraxian Waterlords
  • Brood of Nozdormu

Old Naxx is not in the current (retail version) of the game anymore and hasn’t been since 3.0.

The WOTLK version can be accessed in Dragonblight without the need for attunement.

If you do EPL quest line you basically get revered or whatever for free pretty easily

Yes and no. The original Naxxramas raid in its entirety is no longer in the game. However, Blizzard added a version of it back into the game to allow people a pathway to getting the Tier 3 sets as transmogs. I would point you to the following article assuming it does in fact link:

That “version of it” is just WOTLK Naxxramas but with other drops added.

I don’t think that’s what the OP was referring to.

I remember looking this up, Argent Dawn vs. Crusade. Doing the T3 set unlock linked above I believe makes that rep grind unnecessary.

It starts with doing heroic in Scholomance to get the Doctor’s toy to drop, starting a questline that unlocks the whole thing.

Lost count of how many times I have run the place now and no Doctor Krastinov. Dude is awfully shy about spawning. Definitely a rare spawn as stated.

I know I had him spawn once and no toy. It happened so fast I barely noticed him. Maybe going to try for this again while things are winding down for season 2.

That will be my luck. I’ll get him to spawn and he’ll have decided to leave the toy at home that day.

I’d still greatly prefer that Blizzard add original Naxxramas back into the game. Make it accessible from the same location that WotLK Naxxramas is with an option to toggle between the two. It isn’t without precedent considering they added original Onyxia back into WotLK Classic (now MoP Classic) alongside of the revamped WotLK version with an NPC (member of the Bronze Dragonflight if memory serves - been a hot minute) that allowed you to toggle between both versions with separate lockouts. Certainly not counting on that ever happening but it doesn’t hurt to dream I guess.

That version is still the WoTLk version, just with an EPL entrance. Old Naxx was removed and never brought back.

If you go to Light’s Hope Chapel and get quests from Lord Raymond George in the graveyard, he gives Argent Dawn rep quests. I just turned in Aberrations of Bone and got 3000 Argent Dawn rep. (Been sitting in my quest log for a year and a half lol)

I currently have revered with AD but can’t remember what it’s supposed to unlock or if it even matters anymore for this task.

That’s my misunderstanding then. Just about everything I had previously read or seen about this gave me the impression that it was something akin to a third version of Naxxramas. Basically, just an uninhabited version that only has the items you need to click/collect in order get the grappling hook (I think it was?) needed to get to the NPC that is a part of the whole process of getting the T3 transmogs. Again, my mistake.

Pretty sure I’m likely to bellyache over this forever. Original Naxxramas is still to this day my favorite raid.

Update: OMG I got it! The Doctor spawned and the Toy dropped. Major development!

Maybe the collector’s bounty helped. No idea but can finally move forward with this questline :sparkling_heart:

Go to Scholomance on heroic. Don’t rush and have pet on passive, everything one shot anyway. When it says ‘The Doctor is In’ on the screen go to next room. He is in the middle corner.

he needs this rep to unlock the Tier 3 pieces and the 4horsemen mount.
“Old Naxx” is poor nomenclature for this, but the wow community isn’t known for it’s wit or iq.
Kinda like how y’all call modern WoW “retail”…
