Which realm are you playing classic on?
Stumbled on this while waiting for the Classic server rolling restarts to finish.
My main on Argent Dawn was Kurdon during the Molten Core days, guild leader of Mithril Conclave and co-leader of the Endgame Alliance that was formed between my guild, Reverence, and one other who’s name currently escapes me at the moment. Old age. His only notable accomplishment other than his herding of cats and main tanking during the EGA’s MC escapades was that Kurdon was the 3rd tank on the server to complete Quel’Serrar if I remember correctly (at least Alliance-side).
I doubt I’ll have the same level of free time as I did in those days, between career and family, but I’m still looking forward to a healthy portion of self-indulgent nostalgia.
Hi, Rowain! Been a while. I always got sad and nostalgic about you and Niz every time I made a new warlock buddy/rival. And they always seemed to come packaged with a healer! Life is weird.
Sup, Dristun? Remember that Lesh/Shadea soap opera blowout? Good times.
Tosoto: Yo. Who was that weird gal you were always chilling with? Her name was like 20 vowels and an L. Neither Celaurise or I could remember.
I quit WoW for reals in 2017, and won’t be coming back for classic, but would love to get in touch with some old faces just to catch up or wax nostalgic about the old days.
Particular nostalgic standouts:
- Butterboots. Hours of meandering late night chats and griping about the raid in /bwa. You were awesome.
- Mauriac/Hasan, two dudes way too smart for me to argue with. But I sure tried.
- Naila. A great friendship sprang from me accidentally killing you in a duel outside IF.
- Leroux. The only gnome to ever pull off the handlebar 'stache with style. Plus the only mage I didn’t have an innate warlock dislike for.
- Akujin and Kruggin. My Crimson League/Azure Exodus mentors. I probably never would have learned to play for real without you two.
- Delmara, who led Anduins Legacy, the guild responsible for my career-long love for RP. Always wondered where you disappeared to.
- Cadlington. Weird and wonderful.
- Miryu and Athelia. I had some great raiding experiences in vanilla, but you guys were responsible for some of the best.
- Rosemela. You kept me company through a whole hell of a lot of guild drama.
- Olixus. All the Pirates of Janeiro were lovely, but you made me laugh constantly. Couple years back I dug up screenshots of 5-man Scholo with you, BB, Greytok (the best offense is a good LEEROY) and Sarantric. Got a little misty-eyed.
- And a special mention to Dark Paradigm for being so desperate for Twin Emps tanks that they carried my incompetent self through AQ40 wearing a green shadow wrath cloak. Sorry I left on lousy terms. I was an unpleasant teenager in those days.
I’m remembering countless people just as I’m typing this and this post would become a book if I tried to list everyone. Seriously, anyone who wants to say hey totally can. Feel free to btag me: smasptp#11873

I played frost mage Peonia in classic before frost mages were cool in PvE, and i collected Dreadmist for whatever reason.
I recognize so many names here! Seems like an entirely different lifetime I still play occasionally on AD, but I’m all warlockish now (Brooklyllie).
Whoops, forgot to switch characters… good to see so many old AD names again. Hello to Rowain (even though we still talk in live lol) and to Rilaneth (miss ya man!) and to Hado (used to 19 pvp with WLP on my mage Ivera… miss our epic battles against Perfection and the Bloodhoof horde gang!) I’m still around on live, unsure if I’ll dabble in classic or not right now, might get up with Tower and the crew for some pvp action. AD ftw!

Man that was SO LONG AGO!!! Those really were fun times. I still enjoy WoW from time to time, but nothing compares to 10-15 years ago. I always had fun hanging with you Ril!!
