So it seems like some of the new catch up gear from the Argent Crusade does not share its appearance with alts. Is this intended or a bug?
Is there a refund timer still listed on the physical armor pieces? If so, then you will need to wait for that to expire (it is 2 hours real time) OR you can try a few different ways to remove it (and thus make the armor available for transmog on other characters).
- Favorite the armor pieces in your transmog list on the character who purchased the armor.
- Discard the amor by dragging it out of your bags and typing DELETE when the dialog box requests it.
- Transmog the pieces on the character who bought it.
- Put the physical armor pieces into Void Storage.
You have to do extra steps. Buy, equip, vendor, (then buy back if you want to use it).
Thanks for the tips.
It also seems that it is only trangsmoggable by the same faction it was obtained on?
I was trying to get the leather pieces on a Horde alt and three Alliance characters (one go for two pieces each) and realized the two pieces I had on my Horde alt were showing up as not obtained on my Alliance alts.
I know the other warfront armor pieces from Arathi and Darkshore did which was super awesome for those of us who have a lot of alts.
I guess just not on the Argent pieces.
It seems to be even stranger. It doesn’t seem to be based on Alliance leather wearers vs. Horde leather wearers. My Alliance Rogue and Druid were working on the armor set and between the two of them, they have five or six pieces, but those pieces aren’t overlapping with each other.
My Horde Druid shows having the same pieces as the Alliance Druid, so it seems to be available on both sides of the faction fence when you get a piece, but for classes rather than by type of leather which is what it was in the Warfronts?
Try adding them to favourites in your mog wardrobe. I did that and it comes up with another confirmation about making them no tradeable.
needs to be put in the set tab also. mail chest piece doesn’t appear in chest tab.
players shouldn’t have to do tricks to bypass blizz bad bugs. This sets have to be fixed.
I think some boxes weren’t checked in configuring the items.
I can’t see some of the pieces in my Appearances tabs on various leather wearing alts, but when I check a transmog vendor, all have the same pieces.
So it for both factions for all of an armor class, but it isn’t apparent at all as it has been for other Warfront pieces.
So I have a ton of extra commendations on my pally, and went to purchase the mail set for transmog, since I don’t want to grind out another set. But I hit the same issues. Bought the pieces, equipped them, then logged over to my hunter and nothing shows up for him. He’s lvl 50 but hasn’t done any of the Pre Patch stuff. Nothing shows up in my collection or at the transmog vendor. This seems weird that it’s one of the few pieces of armor that can’t be transmogged?
In order for an appearance to be entered in to your Appearance Library (and thus be available on eligible classes) you must equip it on a class for whom that armor is appropriate.
While a Paladin CAN wear all armor types, only Plate is their appropriate armor type and thus the only type of armor that they can enter into the Appearance Library.
Armor Types & Their Appropriate Classes
Cloth = Warlock, Mage, Priest
Leather = Monk, Rogue, Demon Hunter, Druid
Mail = Hunter, Shaman
Plate = Paladin, Death Knight, Warrior
I noticed that equipping the gear on an appropriate class for the armor type and also following the advice to Set Favorite on the gear you just bought will set the transmog as active for most pieces, it doesn’t do it for all.
My cloth wearing alts have all the pieces between them, but not all of the pieces are showing up as transmoggable for those without certain pieces.
Wait how’d you do that?
