Not sure if a bug or not. If I buy an armor token I get the appearance on that character but if I swap to another of the same armor type its not showing up.
Not a huge issue but my main DK doesn’t need the gear but I want the appearances so I was working on them with an alt paladin.
I’m hoping it a bug? I’ve noticed this, too. I want to finish up the leather set but I have pieces on different characters, but they aren’t showing up in each others appearance tabs.
Have you cleared the sellback timer? As long as the tooltip still says you can sell the item back for a full refund of the Commendations you spent, the transmog isn’t availble for alts.
Make it a favorite in the transmog UI and that immediately clears the sellback flag. Otherwise, just wait out the two hours or play time.

Cleared timer, bought Plate Legs with Warrior, switched and my Paladin says it doesn’t have that appearance.
Extremely aggravating since I know it’s going to be quicker to just farm them again… since Blizzard is on ignore mode as always.
I had a similar issue. I got an item on one character. Then I logged on another, did the whole introduction questline. When I was browsing the items to see what I was going to buy, I noticed the item I supposedly already had was showing “you don’t have that appearance”. It actually was showing this for a couple of items I had already collected with the other char. So I logged into that char, checked the items, checked the vendor. Everything was fine. Logged back on the second character, now it was showing as if I already had collected those appearances.
