I was on the edge of my seat that entire announcement. Every time they said “one more thing” my brain played out the most exciting arena maps and seasons. I’m sure they are saving it to maintain hype a few months from now. But I hope it’s a major part of end game and not left out.

Quite disappointed with the time they gave PvP, by time I mean seconds.
I’d be for arena, or at the very least some sort of ranked system that isn’t just HKs.

Arenas are available in multiple versions of WoW RIGHT NOW. If you love arena, you can play those. Hopefully they try PvP without it in Forever and limit Forever PvP to what classic was.
If you really want to arena in Forever, set up your own tourney. Or set up duels in front of a major city. Aka, the classic way.

Leveling was in classic. Arenas were not.
End of the day, if you arena log or just play to arena why do you need to do it in every version? You have multiple versions to do it in now. What is the benefit of doing it in forever too? You already have what you want.
I want to see how WoW would evolve if they never added degen systems like arena and mythics. Its either here or private servers for that. This would be the only legal way to do it which is what I would want to do.
Why are arena players so selfish and entitled?
You are the entitled one, youre like the 300 lbs person that can’t stand other people lifting in gyms so you go to planetfitness where they ban arenas. IF you dont like arenas, just don’t play it? you can play the version with no arena too why does it concern you?

Maybe, but not adding arena gives a reason to continue playing another version of WoW that has arenas.

If you want to hard core lift, go to a gym where that is the norm aka retail. Forever should be the Planet Fitness of this analogy. That way everyone gets to go to a gym that caters to their needs.
I get people like to show off and min max to the extreme to “be better” then other people (also by insulting people who just have a differing opinion) and for you retail is up and running. Have fun!
Im hoping Forever builds on the strengths of Classic and doesnt make the mistakes started in TBC.
After the honeymoon phase. We will be back to everything that plagues the current game. Unless they rule forever with a heavy hand on punishments. The unemployed, extremist of pve and pvp, boosters will ruin something great.
With blizz track record, its just another iteration sucking players away from others, leaving them in a coma state.
This was one of the few things that got the highest support from the community and highest votes on the classic+ project. Please Blizzard, some people find arenas to be the most fun part of the game.

Incoming PvE scrub comment saying it will be unbalanced when Classic was completely unbalanced in PvE to begin with and people loved it.

Please no arenas - this exists in retail and is fine there. Classic duels can occur anywhere in the world as well as in STV for organized dueling.
Don’t worry they will add arenas. They are appealing to a larger audience right now. They want to attract everyone, classic, retail, new players. Showcasing competitive skill based PvP not everyone can participate in can be intimidating I think for crowds taking everything in. Even the timeline says PvP season resets. Don’t really need seasons for an honor farm. Arena is the one thing staple between classic and retail that everyone is familiar with. I’m sure it will be a major part of PvP end game. Won’t be in the demo, not at the 30 cap beta, Nov 4 is launch and everyone needs to be max level. Arenas won’t even be relevant until December. They have time to let these up tight carebear players accept other people who are actually good at the game want a skill based outlet to perform in.
