Edit: a guildie made a video helping explain the issue here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBSTrOSQ-XQ
Hey everyone,
I’m posting this here in hopes for more people to see it.
Currently, the title cutoff API for arena is completely ignoring all teams below 1000. In TBC, in order to be eligible for titles you must simply play a total of 10 games. That’s it.
As it stands, if the current API isn’t fixed, there will be -significantly- less teams getting titles then there should be, especially for infernal gladiator & gladiator titles.
This is easily seen using a website that tracks the API such as https://check-tbc.fr/cutoffs
The leaderboard API itself only lists the top 5k teams, probably for space reasons. If you go under the 5v5 leaderboard, you can see rank 4012 is the lowest team that is above 1000.
.1% of 4012 is ~4, as a result you get only 4 spots for the rank 1 title, which happens to be 2450 at the time of this post. This number is further confirmed by the cutoff API. This is proof that the API is indeed bugged, and needs to be fixed.
The are thousands upon thousands of teams below 1000 rating that should be counted towards title rewards, as that’s how it was during the original TBC. Starting at 0 rating has no effect on this. A brand new team that loses 10 games and remains at 0 rating should still be counted towards the total pool of players.
Thank you for reading! Please fix this before season ends!!!
