So with these massive healer mana nerfs do we think the meta might shift?
Right now it’s pretty heavy with using one heal and one dps, bar a few comps like fire Mage/sin rogue. Not really seeing two dps being that great. But with the change maybe two dps might be more viable?
idk healers can heal just as well but only for about 3 minutes now. Dbl dps usually can’t last that long. Not sure it will change much about dbl dps viability. Maybe healers can’t even last 3 minutes though since 2’s starts out in dampening? If they can only last a minute or so before going oom then it would greatly favor dbl dps since they can usually reset at least once for another go.

Mana changes ruined destro/rdruid in 2s. Barely can make it to a 2nd infernal versus dk/x.
This change feels poorly thought out. Probably one of the most heavy-handed PVP changes I’ve ever seen. I was considering not pushing for glad this season and just chilling, and this just makes me want to not play this season even more.
As a double DPS 2’s team, i’m glad there has been something done to the Healer/X meta. Playing a few games at lunch today, and it felt like we had a better chance against teams that we usually felt were an auto loss.
How many double dps comps last until the enemy healer is oom?
Double dps has never been a dampening comp, so not sure why mana changes would shift the meta towards it. Healing itself hasn’t been reduced at all.
I was skeptical of the changes but got damn this is great news!!!

Lol yeah, took one of the worst 2s dps classes and made it even worse. Destro locks were crushing this bracket man.
Out of the top 50 players in 2s there are 2 destro locks. 27/50 of the top players are dps. DKs are 7/27, another 7/27 are windwalkers.

The only thing that this did was make it even worse. You can’t put out enough pressure as any caster class now in 2s to oom out the enemy healer before yours which means you need to pray they screw up enough to land a kill in a 4 minute time span, because that’s about the time it takes to oom out. Last night I played into a DK that got juked on at least half his interrupts and kicked into 1/4 DR fear casts while literally standing in fel-fissure not even moving and he still won by oom’ing my druid before I could oom his, and my druid did 1.3m dmg to his rdruid’s 400k.
So yeah, welcome to the even more broken 2s meta of WW/DK wrecking the bracket even harder.
Idk I qued with one at like 2.2 mmr 2 weeks ago and played horribly as usual and won just because after 20 minutes we’d just gimp a kill
Honestly have no desire whatsoever to queue arena right now. It was a joke. Matches just ending because healers oom’d out from normal gameplay. No setup, nothing crazy, just a slow (but hastened) death over time due to my healer tanking mana. Ended the match like OOM to 14k mana rdruid to rdruid.
Playing against hunter pally dispelling every trap and hoj with imp and still just oom’ing out. Whoever authorized this change should have been let go on Tuesday, as they are incompetent.

To be fair, rogue mage is a very big exception to the rule. Its probably the only A/S tier double dps prior to this patch, and as such isnt really the double DPS comps people are talking about.
I think dh are gonna make a comeback in 2s, mana rift with healers mana already strained from the nerfs and having to heal thru their 13k constant dps.
