Arena dies when RMP is popular

Exactly what the title says. When aff lock gets popular pvp is low. When rmp is popular pvp is low. Who would ever want to que when that’s popular? I don’t that’s for sure.

I feel like rmp being good is great as long as they don’t have the ability to stall games out until the 10 minute mark by being triple tank like in shadowlands. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated: It’s cool how break-neck and interactive matchups can be as opposed to a caster or melee cleave statcheck mirror.

Didn’t say anything about it just going into double x. Just rmp do not think RMP should be as strong as it is.
WW/Mage Fine
War/Spriest Fine
Melee/Lock Fine
Just RMP.

Both dps specs have insane mobility, survivability, and damage.
Some dps complain about now being able to catch x and do damage. You know what spec is almost never complaining on the forums? Rogues. Rogues have it all and then some. Sub Rogues had their main damage nerfed by around 23% but still one tap people.

Subtlety is hard to pin down, yeah, but Mage seems…a few too many blinks, perhaps, but most can still die.

I think certain aspects of Subtlety and Mage are too strong, but the comp itself doesn’t seem overly oppressive, at least not right now. Maybe it’s different at high mmr.

I gotcha. Not discounting what you’re saying, but I’d rather fight rmp anyday. RMP still requires coordination, and honestly as SV, I have good tools to breaking that up. The zug zug teams are the one that are a pain. I’m sure every spec/class has something they do and do not like.

i think when a comp like rmp makes a season not fun its because the classes are oppressively overtuned since none of those classes are supposed to be afk pve braindrain classes unless balance is clownshoes

The problem is there is no kill target, while also being able to infinitely reset and eventually 100-0 you in a stun. They also still have instant triple cc since holy priest is meta right now.

It sucks because the kill target is usually the mage but if the mage is good, go rogue. If the mage wastes a cd make a switch, if the rogue messes up make a switch to them. If they’re both insane go the healer if its a carry. Constant switch ups

I think id rather que into rmp rather than half of the current comps this season, rmp is very mid teir right now, there is no room for mistakes on a go unlike shadowlands and prior expansions, with the cc changes you can utilize their mistakes to your advantage and take home a big ol dub…

I’d rather face melee cleaves than any aff lock or rmp any day.

RMP is fine when it’s a high risk high reward comp that burns out fast. Ever since SL I believe, RMP has just been way too tanky. When played well, no one on the RMP team is a good target, and that feels bad to play against.

I still think shadowdust needs to go. It was OP when outlaw had it in SL, and now sub has it and it’s still OP. No idea why this abomination got put in as a talent.

Both sub and mage need to be more punishable. Outlaw has strong defensives too, but at least we are forced to stay in because we are all sustained damage, so there’s opportunities to punish bad play. A sub rogue can just get away with too much now.
