its a problem with time drift between your machine and the realm most likely. I’m pretty confident this is caused by blizzard attempting to compensate for lag, I’d imagine with all of the posts about how you “want to have an ssd for shadowlands” this was an attempt to adjust the countdown timers so that they would be offset based on when your computer detects the timer and starts displaying it. First seen on beta, then obviously on live when 9.0 hit. There was a change to the TimerTracker to support the addition of the /countdown being built into the game now. This is fixed as of this evening on beta I submitted a bug yesterday for it because it actually drove me insane. I wrote an addon to grab the timer and kill it, since it was temporary I didn’t try to rebuild the timer I just clobber it for m+. I would say for now try resyncing time on your pc and see if that helps. That’s why removing/reinstalling addons/the game don’t help. I have this: https://github.com/NamelessRogue/clockbuster for some context, it shouldn’t clobber arena timers right now I’m only grabbing CHALLENGE_MODE_START (keys) and PLAYER_COUNTDOWN (/countdown) . When you resync your time you can test if the drift is gone by doing a /countdown in a party that’s how I built the addon.

same problem on me, blizz, fix it plz

Dude, you are a genius! This solved my issue, but I had no idea what was causing it. I dual boot ubuntu for work and it usually messes with my windows time, then when I launch into WoW on Windows I notice that my in-game server time is all messed up so I sync my windows time while I have WoW open, then sometime later in WoW I join a BG or something get this incredibly annoying bug.

If anyone else is having this, completely exit WoW, sync your Windows time, then open WoW again.

Thank you Salmahavoc!
