Dear Please explain to me how A dk’s Army of the undead is too overpowered on a 8 minute cooldown but a damn paladins bubble can get to a 2.5-3 min cooldown
Then their Lay on hands and Bop
Please explain to me how a core class ability is not able to be used in the arena therefore forcing me to pick the abomination thus forcing me to have to take it.

Bubble is 5 min cool down, 3.5 minutes talented. BoP is a 5 minute cool down, and only protects against physical damage. Most damage done is not physical (this includes your from unholy DK), so it has limited uses. Not to mention easily dispelled b y a number of classes and blood elves. Lay on hands is a 10 min cool down, 7 minutes talented. Lay on hands is not useable in arenas, even if talented.
You might want to do a teensy bit of research before you rage on an ability that can’t be used in arenas like Lay on Hands.
ps: Abom is a fantastic pvp talent. Stack Magus of the Dead, Run Vision of Perfection Main, and maybe the RNG gods will give you the Army of the Dead in arena you desperately crave.

Abom is fantastic.
It’s certainly less overall damage than Army, but the perks are fantastic, and I’d argue even far more valuable than army:
-
It synergies extremely well with Unholy Frenzy, and Dark Transformation. They compliment each other in not only the CD timing, but their functionality.
-
This somewhat meshes with 1, but this allows you to save runes in that you don’t have to apply Festering Wounds (even more so with Dark Claws) so every global can be used for Necortic.
-
Breaks stealth on I’d say a large area by again, applying your Outbreak saving you a rune(s).
And lastly, keep your head up and enjoy it. It’s a blast to have these CD’s and genuinely feel the pressure that comes forth from them. If I can come alongside to help you out at all let me know.

While it could be considered a problem that Army of the Dead being on an 8 min cooldown is not available in Arena etc. there is a few key points that should be taken in to account, both positive and negative.

Unholy DK is basically forced to take Abomination as one of the PvP talent choices reducing choice that is there for other classes… Essentially Abomination should not be a PvP talent and just replace Army of the Dead in PvP Instances. Releasing a PvP talent choice for UH DK

One thing that many don’t actually know about or realize about the Abomination is the actual Area of Effect of the Abominations initial attack radius. The range is at least twice the size of DND radius and probably closer to three times. So why is this good? If you use you Abomination against stealth or invis classes if done correctly will 100% pull them out of stealth/invis and actually put them immediately in combat. This basically destroys rogue’s as they can’t Sap etc and loose their initial ambush etc. So for this simple fact the Abomination should be used aggressively against Invis/stealth classes early to force them out and in to combat.

Abomination doesn’t actually gain any benefit from Magus of the Dead and this is a massive chunk of UH DK damage which is lost on the original Army of the Dead. The Magus of the Dead should modify the Abomination to do something like a AoE slowing Aura or Immobilize effect on targets in AoE for a few seconds when dropped to ensure it can get some serious ramp pressure etc. Just a thought cause it is clear Abom doesn’t really get any benefit from Magus of the Dead like Army of the Dead would.
You could go on the concept of the Abomination really was a bandaid fix for UH DK to give them a replacement ability to use in PvP as AoTD was not able to be used and Blizzard refused to tune AoTD to make it something that was on a 3 - 5 min cooldown like other melee DPS abilities that aren’t effecting others like Heroism, BloodLust.

Abom is fantastic and used for burst quite often with Frenzy, DT, and Apoc. Flark’s videos show him bursting quite a bit of necrotic strikes with all of these going. Abom with magus traits also summons a magus. So with Abom and Apoc you can have out 2 magi at a time. You talent out of Abom against teams where Abom won’t connect very often at all, e.g. Frost Mages.
