according to your achievements you were playing in 2020 when they last offered free transfers off - why didn’t you take it then or were you just expecting everyone else to do so?
Poor argument. I also played in 2020 and had these Horde toons on Area-52,but I didn’t play them really until now. It was the cross-faction / cross-server that made me decide to be Horde this expansion. And my Hordes been on Area-52 for years. I just never noticed issues of the realm until now

well then you are adding to the problem - you have the option to play where you were playing prior to this.
Sure, except I refuse to buy a race change. I am bored of playing Alliance Draenei Shaman. I wanted to be a Goblin Shaman. I already HAD the character, so why would I pay to change my other if I can have it for free?
Blizzard clearly needs to take responsibility and move players off A52. There’s no argument to be had here. The servers stability is bad, and other servers stay online while A52 players suffer.
Get it together.
Should they force people off and then prevent people from making new characters on that server? Just how do you suggest they go about this?

Offer free xfers off the server to mid pop realms so we can play the game without interruption. Once the server starts to die down, force the xfers and shut the server down.
Or, for now they can offer free xfers off the server. Its very obvious what the answer is here. You are just a troll with no life.
A52 goes down more than any other server. It’s blizzards responsibility to fix it.

I’d just like to know what is causing these disruptions at this point. Even an explanation about why this has been happening for 3 weeks would go a long way with players.

They have offered free transfers off there twice and the problem persists. It is insane to keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. I have a character on that server too created recently but I mostly moved all my characters off of the high population servers back in 2020.
How many times are you going to ignore the fact that what server you are on now is SIGNIFICANTLY less important than it was the last time they offered transfers off? I went into detail twice the reasons why people stayed on a52, and you completely ingored those reasons. Yet you continue to repeat this line to other people with no other way of backing it up.

I didn’t see your post but regardless - people move off and people like me made characters on there. Just because one reason got removed doesn’t mean they didn’t create multiple other reasons people would want characters on that server. With warbands they made shopping on other servers auction houses very desirable.
Now I read your post it makes me laugh - you actually moved yourself to a full server IN spite of warnings and then are complaining about it.
one reason? It’s a lot more that just one reason that has been listed so far.
ok? that applies to a lot of servers of various sizes and the people that do that would want one character on several realms for that reason, and do not spend the majority of their time on the server(s) they are checking. If anything that’s MORE of an incentive for people to move their army of alts off of a52 and onto multiple other servers. As for your other comment:
There is a major difference between waiting a bit to get in the game or having a slightly clunkier experience (the things the game tells you when choosing a large realm) versus being disconnected multiple times a week. If it had said “this realm is highly unstable and experiences frequent downtime outside of standard maintenance” I would have picked a different realm. None of the other high pop realms have to deal with this, i just picked the wrong one. Funny enough i actually looked up what realm liquid was on because i figured it could be extra bad around RWF and wanted to avoid that, but clearly that was a mistake because their realm is more stable.
People aren’t going to move all their characters off Area 52, especially people like you that moved to make gold. They will still log in which is what is causing issues.
I have made characters on half a dozen servers already and would make more if I could get into the trials to delete them. I am sure I am one of many.
sure they do - Tich and Stormrage were also experiencing huge problems last time they offered free transfers off. Area 52 just added more new players than the others did I assume.
what’s causing issues is the extreme number of people logged in during peak raid and m+ times for the realm. Also the VAST majority of auction house items are cross-realm so most people would only need 1 character per realm if they wanted to have characters checking multiple realms for the items that aren’t cross-realm on the AH, it’s not like you need 1 of each profession per realm. It’s absolutely crazy to say that free transfers wouldn’t result in thousands of character transfers and that that wouldn’t result in less stress on the server.

seeing as how they haven’t been having these huge problems since. You don’t see posts of “tich down again for the 3rd time this week” or similar ones for stormrage, only a52. That would suggest that either a52 is still overcrowded compared to the other high pop realms that received transfers (in which case offer more free transfers) or that there is something else wrong with it and only it.
