Are you switching factions?

I’m considering alliance for a fresh take on a game Ive played in the past for many years. New quests etc. I tried playing horde on ps for a bit and am just burnt out on that side…anyone making the switch? whats your motivation?

Any real WoW vet is familiar with both factions. Just sayin’.

I was considering switching to Horde, but started a new Alliance character because I wanted to see how different the classic quests would be from the current starting quests. I will be sticking with Alliance I think.

Don’t personally know anyone who hasn’t at least tried the starter zones of both factions. Especially by now. But for vanilla I was Alliance and BC I switched to Horde and I am going to probably stick with horde.

I have done both sides equally and took them as far as they can go.

I will be sticking with undead priest for Classic.

I’m playing both on separate servers at some point.

~makes a note for the future “culling” and moves you up the list…~

my shaman will probably be horde, idk.

ive played the starter zones on alliance sure, max lvl is 40 hunter on ps. I think ill enjoy going against forum tough guys like Coffinspike. should have plenty of reds to pick from.

well if you make a shaman you will have to go horde

Lol can I get on the list?!?!?

It’s $40au and Blizzard really don’t deserve my my money

Playing Alliance against my will since I’d rather stick my group of friends than go it alone on the better faction.

I’m switching to alliance and rolling on a pvp server. I’m doing because of the projected population imbalance favoring the horde. Hopefully some people share this mindset so the alliance doesn’t get steamrolled in wpvp on every pvp server.

Not if I roleplay and become a traitor to the horde, but still does stuff with them to spy on them.

That’s how roleplaying works, right? I’ve never actually tried it.

Sticking with Horde, as the Alliance has a weird smell to them from all the unwashed gnomes.

I leveled a few Horde toons to 70 and a variety of alts to various levels in BC. Then I leveled a dwarf priest and dwarf hunter to 70. At WotLK I transferred the priest over to undead and leveled him to 80.

When Cata came out I took him to 85 but lost interest within a few months.

In my time playing wow, most of it has been Horde. I’m going to go all Alliance this time. I’ve never invested time or devotion to Alliance the way I have Horde. It will be the more fresh of an experience. I have a couple other reasons for avoiding Horde this time but there’s no reason to mention them here, lol. Classic forums will fight over anything. Even when people agree, they still fight.

After the stress test, I couldn’t wait for the next one. I found a pserver and have been scratching the vanilla itch there…playing Horde so as to not refamiliarize myself with Alliance so it’s as fresh as possible come 8/26…assuming the apparently inevitable queues ever let me in.

so i am not the only one burnt out on previous faction and also anticipating faction imbalance favoring horde for pvp. cool. should make the alliance a tighter knit community. looking forward to doing battle with you guys. especially other horde transfers who are tired of the new wave of horde forum tough guys. those that bark the loudest usually have the smallest bite

Sort of. While i first rolled a NE druid in Vanilla, i played around with all the classes before settling on a Forsaken warrior. I mained Horde mostly during Vanilla, BC, Wrath, Cata… and theres a lot of story i never experienced on Alliance side. I still plan to play Horde in Classic, but secondary to Alliance for the foreseeable future.
